  1. Why not? If the Sox lose tomorrow too you guys can temp ban me.
  2. Should we start sacrificing posters until the Sox start winning?
  3. They are probably worried about Beckett in general, not necessarily the Guardians lineup. A bad Beckett could lose to an NL West lineup, so we need Beckett to be good. I think we have a better idea of what the Guardians lineup will look like than what Beckett is going to come out with tonight.
  4. Thanks dude, and best of luck to Kentucky.
  5. Suns, first off, one has to define good. Like will Uconn be a serious title contender next year? Probably not. But I don't think anyone considered Butler a title contender considering that they lost a star player in Gordon Hayward (who Bulter might have won the title if he stayed in school) Uconn is losing Kemba Walker, and a bunch of filler. They have many freshmen and sophmore players that should get better, plus at least one good freshman prospect coming in. I mean will they be a title contender? Probably not, but it's not like they are going to be a bottom feeder in the Big East, and they have a great coach. I'm not going to say that Uconn will be better than Kentucky next season, but Uconn will be between decent and good.
  6. Yeah, after the Flyers lost in the Stanley Cup final, and the s***** day I've had, I wasn't going to tolerate my team losing that close to the championship again. It'd be about as bad as Aaron Boone in 2003.
  7. In all fairness, while I think that we were better than Michigan State in 2009, I don't think that we'd have been able to beat the buzzsaw that was UNC in the title game. That said, 2006 was an abortion. We had the best team in basketball (arguably), but certainly the best team remaining in the tournament, and we lost to George Magon in Overtime. What makes it worse (to me) is that Florida won the title that year, and then repeated the next year. That title was Uconn's to lose, so much talent on that team, but this title makes up for it, and other than Kemba, Chukwumba Okwandu, and a couple of interchangeable token white seniors, the team is very young and should be good (although perhaps not title good) for another few years.
  8. This definitely makes up for 2006 and 2009.
  9. Jacko and I both share a team? Oh well, f*** it. (High-Five) GO HUSKIES!!!!
  10. Didn't Butler have more FT's than Uconn? And I think Uconn might have had more fouls called on them. Anyway Uconn winning the title will be one of the best sports memories I have. It almost makes up for this abortion of an evening. (Let's just say that I got my ass handed to me by a close female friend of mine)
  11. I resent that because I played rugby for years. I think that watching the WNBA might be a better comparison.
  12. I think he'd be gone regardless. When you consider the quality and depth of the draft, and the fact that he doesn't have THAT much he needs to improve upon, it'd be in his favour to go to the NBA. That said, I'd much rather have him back for a senior season, but I'm not going to hate him for leaving early.
  13. No, he's a junior. But he'll likely be gone anyway.
  14. Well played YOTN. Well played.
  15. Who knows? I'm not going to say a damn thing about it until the game is over. Whether it'll be one of my happiest sports memories or one of my worst sports memories, will be determined. I don't want to jinx anything.
  16. I'm ok with that. Besides, the Spurs vs. the Cavs was one of the lowest watched NBA Finals, but I'm not going to argue with the result.
  17. I figure that Kentucky usually has a lot of 1 and dones. That's usually the cost of the high NBA talent that they get.
  18. I highly doubt it, but they would be an AMAZING team if he did.
  19. Technically San Diego has a longer title drought than Cleveland, but when San Diego loses the fans can at least go outside.
  20. Yeah, if Browns fans couldn't get obliterated drunk on Sundays and paint themselves orange and brown, they might realise "Holy s***, I live in Cleveland" ;(
  21. Cleveland might not be the worst team in the MLB, but they'd have to be close to it.
  22. As they damn well should.
