  1. Daisuke and his money weren't relevant to whether or not we kept V-mart. We spent the money we didn't spend on V-mart on Crawford and Salty (as Vmart's replacement).
  2. I thought that it was 26 pitches.
  3. I agree, but I don't think that it would have been a wise use of our money. WiseR, maybe, considering how poorly Lackey, Salty, and Crawford have been, but this wouldn't be much better. I'd rather pony up and sign every draft pick this year than to overpay for V-mart.
  4. Either way, we're still screwed. I don't see how we're any MORE screwed than we were beforehand.
  5. The bad part of this being....???
  6. They don't have to hit a high percentage off of him if they can just walk in.
  7. I think that we should kidnap all of Dice-K's relatives in Japan, and tell him that for every walk he gives up, we'll randomly kill one of them. Problem Solved.
  8. And often times the offenders are people who have been here long enough to know the rules. We should seriously post a sticky note about it.
  9. In all fairness, Ichiro could make it rain if he wanted to, he just prefers to be a contact/speed/obp guy. You should see him blast souvenirs during BP.
  10. I'm sure Jamie Moyer can at least throw one over the plate. Besides, his analyst career on BBTN needs to end and NOW.
  11. Unless he sucks.
  12. Not only did the Cleveland Cavaliers get the first overall pick, but it looks like it was the Clippers pick (at 2.8%) that was the number 1 pick.
  13. Could you imagine if Cleveland had the #1 and #4 pick in a real NBA draft. They might actually be good again.
  14. Wow, I guess 1 and 4 are close to 1st and 4th. Although I don't think you'd have a shot at Williams and Irving.
  15. I'm still surprised that a lot of people who had been here for a while still didn't know the gamethread rules. I don't think I've ever made a gamethread in my time here and even I knew the rules.
  16. Although since we didn't lose, it would still be up to BPEF.
  17. So are we going to make a new gamethread for tomorrow or are we going to just continue this one?
  18. lol who knew that a right elbow can get rid of two of our worst starters? Maybe JD Drew should get some vertigo again.
  19. 2.8% for first, 3.3% for second, and 3.9% for third.
  20. I wouldn't get ahead of yourself dude. You have about 22% - 23% chance of the first overall pick, and it'd be much less likely that you also get the 3rd pick. And even if you do get the 3rd pick (which I highly doubt) I don't think you'd get Irving too because the 2nd team can always trade the pick, or pick up Irving and trade someone else, or simply just draft Irving because he's the best player available. In addition, even if the Cavs get Irving and Williams, that still won't make them a top team for a while, if at all. So you're getting like 5 steps ahead of yourself dude. You should wait until tonight before you keep dreaming.
  21. The Cavs also have the Clippers pick.
  22. If only we could trade Dice-K to Japan for some young talent.
