    Wasn't he just drafted? I think he was the 2nd pick behind Bryce Harper. Interestingly enough, Taillon has been compared to Josh Beckett in terms of hype, who was also a #2 overall pick.

    That said, who knows, if he continues to do well this year then maybe he can be a good pitcher. Probably never Roy Halladay good, but he can have a shot at being good. He just needs to go out there and prove it. I just think that the comparison to Halladay is because of his delivery and nothing else.

    He has a similar delivery, but I don't think he has as many different pitches, nor does he have the control or consistency, or even stamina of Roy Halladay. The video I showed shows how many pitches were left right down the middle and a bit up. Last year he would have had my vote for the worst pitcher in baseball. He looks a bit better, but other than his delivery, being right handed, and pitching for a National League team in PA, I don't see much else in common.

He does have a similar delivery to Roy Halladay, and his stuff has movement, but even here he left a lot of pitches up in the zone that would have been driven for miles by a good lineup. Also note that both of his complete games this season have come against the Reds.

    Last year he might have been the worst starter in all of baseball. In all fairness, Kevin Correia looked really good at the start of the year...

    For a while he almost challenged Roy Halladay's record of futility last year. He ended with a 7.57 ERA over 79.2 innings, but he was hovering around 10+ for most of the season. I haven't seen him pitch, but I've followed his numbers for a while. It's glad to see him pick up his second career shutout last night.

    Damn, I didn't know how much improved MLB.com's feed is from a few years ago. They even have updated backgrounds of the home ballpark as well as more relevant stats, hot/cold zones etc. I think the last time I used MLB.com to watch a game was 2007-2008.

    In all fairness, I'm not sure if the 4 and 5 starters were put on the DL because they were injured, rather than because they suck.
