    Last year, they had guys to trade that could have brought back decent talent. This year? Even if they do sell, I don't think there's going to be a lot of prospects coming this way. If you trade Paxton and Duvall does it really bring a great return? Probably not? Jansen? Martin? Would the Sox really deal some of the guys that could bring back a return?

    If Sale was healthy, Whitlock was healthy and there was a clear path to the playoffs it would make sense to be a buyer. I just don't really see it this year.

    Yes, you've been the only one. Today though, you shout from the rooftops that Jorge f***ing Soler would somehow fix the ills of this team. A guy who has been over 1 fWAR only twice in his whole damn career.

    Duffy and Early are pitchability guys. Definitely the "high floor" that we were talking about. Weins is a FB/SL reliever who's velo ticked up a little last year, but isn't a triple digit guy.

    Soler has been a mediocre to poor player for all of his career except for 2019 and 2023. From 2021 - 2022 he had a wRC+ of 99. Soler and Turner had the same amount of HR's in that timespan. Just swapping '23 Turner for '23 Soler doesn't impact the Red Sox in any meaningful way.

    Campbell is a plus runner with elite contact rate. Probably is moved to the OF.

    Riemer is a high OBP guy like Miedroth who doesn't k at all. If he didn't hurt his ACL, probably goes much higher in the draft.
