  1. They always come around...
  2. For a few months of Ohtani for a team that is struggling to stay in WC contention. Laughable trade.
  3. LOL, no chance this happens.
  4. Also, Sox announced Call as an OFer FWIW.
  5. He's only ranked 226. They could sign him if they other guys are far enough under slot. Rumor is that Teel was under slot. A lot of the other picks were under slot guys. They got Brannon last year and nobody thought he would sign.
  6. Last year, they had guys to trade that could have brought back decent talent. This year? Even if they do sell, I don't think there's going to be a lot of prospects coming this way. If you trade Paxton and Duvall does it really bring a great return? Probably not? Jansen? Martin? Would the Sox really deal some of the guys that could bring back a return?
  7. Jojo Ingrassia is a great name though.
  8. 1AA guys with bloated ERA's. LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
  9. If Sale was healthy, Whitlock was healthy and there was a clear path to the playoffs it would make sense to be a buyer. I just don't really see it this year.
  10. It's the only way to effectively shift now: have everyone play SS.
  11. I have no idea how much value Mata would have right now.
  12. Already have Jarren Duran. Waste of a pick.
  13. If they were really going to go for it (I wouldn't), this would be the year to deal Perales since he has to be Rule 5 protected this offseason.
  14. Yes, you've been the only one. Today though, you shout from the rooftops that Jorge f***ing Soler would somehow fix the ills of this team. A guy who has been over 1 fWAR only twice in his whole damn career.
  15. Duffy and Early are pitchability guys. Definitely the "high floor" that we were talking about. Weins is a FB/SL reliever who's velo ticked up a little last year, but isn't a triple digit guy.
  16. Duffy was the highest Canisius pick in the program's history.
  17. To continue the streak of exciting SS and uninteresting P: 6th Round: CJ Weins Western KY P, reliever that transferred from South Carolina
  18. What they really need is a starting rotation, not a "right handed power bat."
  19. That game holds considerable emotional impact for him.
  20. Soler has been a mediocre to poor player for all of his career except for 2019 and 2023. From 2021 - 2022 he had a wRC+ of 99. Soler and Turner had the same amount of HR's in that timespan. Just swapping '23 Turner for '23 Soler doesn't impact the Red Sox in any meaningful way.
  21. Campbell is a plus runner with elite contact rate. Probably is moved to the OF.
  22. Riemer is a high OBP guy like Miedroth who doesn't k at all. If he didn't hurt his ACL, probably goes much higher in the draft.
  23. Concerning that I've had to read about Strahm again on this board today...
  24. Yup, you only need to have one in the system. That is so very true! Great point!
  25. Comp Picks - Kristian Campbell GA Tech SS, Justin Riemer Wright State SS
