To me, it looks like he hit on .333 of the above guys. Not really great. Should be closer to .500 IMO.

    Probably could have either extended Bogey earlier or just let him go to FA and still had Betts and Raffy. I'm fine with letting Bogey go. You just can't let 2 of the 3 leave town.

    From the defensive metrics, I'd never play Duvall in CF again. He's getting older everyday. I think you could save him by putting him in LF.

    The Red Sox should spend more, which is on John. Bloom should have done a better job even knowing the self imposed constraints put upon him. Over the past 4 years, they both were at fault.

    Snell - wildly inconsistent Montgomery - average pitcher until '23 and wants close to max deal Bellinger - superstar prospect who fell to earth and disappeared for a few years, had a near MVP season but as a completely different hitter (Punch and Judy!) Chapman - glove first 3B It's not THAT suprising that teams aren't jumping at these guys.

    Good news is that his arm strength in '23 was almost to where it was in '20 before he was injured. He's never had a gun over there, but he's a solid fielder. Wasted 2 years on this signing though. Didn't make a lot of sense at the time since there was a known injury that I mentioned over and over again...

    Also has to do with his decreased mobility. Sprint speed: '19 - 70th percentile '20 - 58th percentile '21 - 59th percentile '22 - 46th percentile '23 - 31st percentile Dude is just getting old.
