    That's fine. He's a good fit for a team that can field the ball. All I said is that a guy who gives up hard contact would not be best served with the Red Sox defense playing behind him. Is that wrong?

    Rumors persist that the Boston Red Sox could be in the mix for former Brewers executive David Stearns, according to @BNightengale.

    I’m not really interested in the David Stearns to the Sox rumors. If they are going to bring in a replacement for Bloom, it needs to be someone that is an improvement not just a similar profile with a different name. Just open the checkbook and bring back the god Theo Epstein.

    Turner would also be getting a substantial pay raise most likely. 6.5M opt out + FA cost. I guess the opt out is a sunk cost, but tough to spend big on two DH’s Masa/Turner. Duvall can play corner OF/1B and seems to like being here.

    You can bring back Turner OR Duvall, you probably can’t bring back both. Casas can get better. Story will be an upgrade next year. Rafaela should be the starting CFer. Devers has been better , but you’re stuck with him. You can hold your nose with bad D in LF.
