    ARB raises due for Pivetta, O'Neillll, McGuire and Schreiber at 1pm today. If they don't get done, it goes to arbitration and the $$$ most likely goes up and is a pain in the ass for both sides. Sox FO likes to mess around though.

They have zero good arms coming from the farm that can slot into front end of the rotation. Right now, nobody projects higher than a 4.     It's not a poverty payroll overall. It's a midmarket payroll like the Colorado Rockies. They are in purgatory. The problem is that the fans aren't paying midmarket prices.

    Paxton is probably better than YRod, but has a lower ceiling due to injury risk.

    Why be worried about losing one year? Sometimes a tank year has unexpected results. If that's the pitcher you want, go get them. I'd say the same thing about a pitcher with two years control. Acquire the pitchers you believe in. Look at the successful franchises around the league and follow what they do (Dodgers, Braves, etc.).

    They've already pivoted away from Snell and Montgomery. There have been NO rumors about Stroman, Clevinger or Lorenzen. The only guys we've heard about is Soler and YRod. That still seems like a bridge year to me.

    In his first press conference, Crag specifically shouted out Toboni as someone in the FO that he liked. Maybe he's just elevating the voices that he wants to hear?

    25-26 will surely be another moving target. Can't wait to root for 2027 at some point. Giolito is about kicking the can down the road at some point and has zip to do with ratings.

    And that list is just judging their own players. They have often misjudged FA classes and have failed to bring in their targets. Unless saying things like "Jose Abreu is our prime target" is just a smoke screen.
