It's why Theo recommended Breslow use Sportsology Group to conduct an independent audit. Time to clear out some deadwood.
I can't expect Breslow to know who is underperforming on day one when Henry wants to protect all his yes men.

Hearing it's possible that Enmanuel Valdez is active for the Red Sox tonight in Baltimore. That would likely require Tyler O'Neill to be placed on the IL.
First pitch at 6:35 pm ET.
What he had was great players around him constantly on base (400 OBPs) when he put the bat on the ball like Earle Combs, George Selkirk and Babe Ruth. He was a great player that averaged 33 HR's in that time period with guys constantly on base in front of him.
I'm not sure if their pitching has convinced anyone since the concern was a lack of high end pitching. Perales has been ok, but we'll have to see what he looks like now that he's moved up the ladder.
Fitts has been fine. Sandlin hasn't really impressed TBH. Rodriguez has pitched better this year than last. Sox really needed someone else to pop like Monegro or Bastardo.
The only starters (not mentioned above) that have really been interesting this year are Early, Penrod, Encarnacion and Wehunt.
Cora has also thought some other players should have come back from injuries a little quicker than they did too. One recent example would be Raffy's early season leg issue that Cora noted as "pain tolerance" in nature and that he felt Raffy should have been able to get back in there sooner than what the actual timetable was.

Wikelman has thrown 57% strikes so far this year. His K% has dropped from 32% to 23%. His BB% has ticked up from 14% to 15%. Swinging strike% is down from 12.7% to 10.5%. He has a 7.11 ERA with 5.15 FIP and 5.19 xFIP. ERA is inflated because of a 52% Left On Base%, but yikes.

Out of 88 qualified batters in the Eastern League in May, Kyle Teel ranks 3rd in BA (.352), 5th in OBP (.446), and 20th in isolated power (.197). Also rates 12th in BB% and 28th in K%. A superb month.
Where are all the Isaac Coffey heads this year? I was told he was a legitimate starting pitching prospect last year! I was told not to worry about his lack of velocity!
Brannon? I don't think he even makes it to WOO.
Jhostynxon is really underrated in my book. He can rake. He's been able to hit at a level that a guy like Castro (overrated) never has.
Campbell jumped up the rankings the way many people expected this year. Nice to see, but his defense has been pretty bad whenever I've seen him. He's not an IFer.

A good little primer on why to not rush Mayer.
1. He's not going to be an MVP type player. Most likely just a near All Star guy.
2. Lots of swing and miss.
3. Platoon issues right now.
Needs more time.
Looking at his stuff, you can see a #2. He just doesn't put a whole start together. Maybe he'll figure it out at some point. Some pitchers never do. I think Crawford is making the most out of his abilities, but has had an additional 3 years to hone his craft.
Crawford 4.06 xFIP, 2.89 ERA
Bello 3.51 xFIP, 4.18 ERA
Lou was very concerned about it during the AB. They basically threw the same pitch three straight times. Really didn't throw the sinker as much afterwards when you look at Statcast.
If he was really coming through for his sponsors, all the ads on the site wouldn't make my work laptop whir like a 1980's boxfan whenever I load it up.
