  1. Paxton wasn't much of a swing at all. Garcia pitched well for the Halos before the deal. Sims had good peripherals. It was an ok deadline, but nothing special. Better than '22 or '23 for the MLB team.
  2. To me, a first year CBO wasn't going to be hitting 450' moonshots from day one. We're in this mess because of ownership. Breslow is going to have to grow into this role.
  3. I just think I had reasonable expectations. It didn't seem like a playoff roster. If the owner isn't letting the CBO go over the CBT as he's holding the org up for the youth movement to show up, I don't know how much you are going to get out of the MLB squad. I've been down on the Sox outlook since the Mookie trade.
  4. Criswell hasn’t gone 5 innings since July. He’s not a 100 pitch guy. He’s Cooper Criswell.
  5. Then Criswell comes out in the 5th and predictably gives up the game anyway and people complain about that.
  6. My expectations have been met for the year. Not sure many of your expected playoffs back in March!
  7. Imagine getting upset that Cooper Criswell was taken out of a game…
  8. Perales was top 100 before the injury.
  9. JH wants to build through the farm. We’re playing a waiting game unfortunately. A lot of pressure is being put on unproven guys.
  10. To me, this team performed exactly how I expected: W/L% similar to last season but overall more enjoyable to watch with glimpses of hope for the future.
  11. Overlooked because the franchise was lost in the wilderness from 91-97. Good player with one great season.
  12. Revamped pitching dev makes me feel much better about the farm today than 12 months ago. mixed bag FA and trades (like most CBO/GMs) left the MLB team at about the same spot as before. first year grade: B
  13. I’m not moonlighting at SI! All their articles are written by AI, right?
  14. Losing 2 of 3 to DET is a good way to stay out of the playoff race. Ya blew it!
  15. Henry isn’t going to heavily invest until the kids are ready if ever. Kids won’t be fully ready until 2026. If you can get a guy a year early like Beiber, go for it. His 2025 won’t matter all that much IMO.
  16. Ugly wins still count in the win column from what I’ve heard.
  17. Good outing for Houck. Limiting the walks is huge for him.
  18. They just revamped the pitching department, so I think we need to give them a little bit of a chance for a few years to turn it around. Bres can’t completely revamp the farm in one year.
  19. HOF? Probably not. He was one of the Hall of Very Good guys even if his career didn't fall apart. 1 CY 2 seasons over 5 bWAR At age 30, that's not necessarily HOF material. Not comparable to Johan Santana who was on a HOF track. Maybe more of a Ron Guidry track?
