  1. Cora shuts down 6 man rotation BECAUSE OF injury issues. If Bello isn't ready. If Crawford is injured. There's no reason to force a 6 man rotation on an MLB team. You're only adding AAA guys to reduce the amount of starts that Houck and Crochet get.
  2. Scutaro was a fun little player. One of the few bright spots from the 2010 season. Too bad he only played one year for the Sox.
  3. Do Spring Training W/L records matter?
  4. The problem with Romero is that he's no longer a contact guy. He's now a power guy who has eschewed a contact heavy approach. He also doesn't walk very much and seems to be destined for 2B.
  5. Yeah, and for anyone on using a dark background, it's hard to read.
  6. Nelson Cruz put up good numbers for a long time and never got paid much.
  7. Interested in a few DSL prospects this year.
  8. He throws left handed. Maybe he'll wind up in the pen?!?!?
  9. He has never had a save in his life. None of the other projections (ZiPS, OOPSY, Steamer, ATC, etc) have him pitching at all out of the pen.
  10. 2 Saves!!! Now that's a projection we can count on!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I was just talking about your point where you said it's hard to ruin a season in April. It's easy to ruin a season in April IMO. You can really dig yourself in a hole. Bregman is a very poor starter historically. He may have a bad April again. Not sure if it will contribute to a bad W/L this year.
  12. Red Sox 2019: First 28 games .393 winning % Remaining games through 8/31 .574 If they had just played at .574 the whole season, they wouldn't have been out of it on 8/31 and had to pack in the season (15 GB 1st place, 5 GB WC).
  13. Devers: 3.4 RngR (career Range Runs above average at 3b) Bregman: -8.1 Remote plays made (1-10% likelihood): Devers: 2.9 Bregman: 1.4 Even plays made (40-60% likelihood): Devers: 55.4 Bregman: 49.0 🕔
  14. 1.77 assists per game vs 1.75 per game. Devers actually throws out more guys per game than Bregman!
  15. He's 1 for 3 over his last 3 seasons. Seems more likely that he'll be under 5 fWAR than not!
  16. A lot of Mayer highlights from yesterday. Maybe he can keep it going today?
  17. When your offseason is Blooming:
  18. Well, that's a big IF then, since the majority of his seasons haven't been s tier. Assuming a 5 fWAR season for him is far from a given. It seems more likely that he'll be a 3 fWAR guy. If that happens, is he still getting 400M for the upside???
  19. How does Bregman's arm compare to Devers'? It's messy.
