I agree about Youk and Millar. I was not fond of either of those guys. Youk's hat was probably on too tight because he would fill up dead space with a stream of nothingness. We already knew that Millar just likes to hear himself talk. He's better off on the talk show circuit or whatever.
Lou is knowledgeable. He speaks to multiple generations of fans as he can talk stats or just straight baseball. He also lets the game breathe and doesn't jabber on and on. It's nice to just have him on and watch a game. He doesn't take away from it.
My preference would be Monaco and Merloni for all the games. That would be a good hang.
How's he going to respond when CHB asks him a question about dinosaurs? We may get the most long winded and rambling response in the history of the Red Sox beat reporter.
Well I didn't really enjoy it. When he comes back and fills in from time to time, it doesn't hit. It was ok for the time, but I've enjoyed Orsillo and Scully's broadcasts far more. Only one of them is still around.
Eovaldi's OPS vs LHB was 100 points worse last season. Not egregious. My guess is they really want to get Campbell in there and may only sit him against a really filthy guy like deGrom.
They swapped 3B and 2B for RHB. Story was out for most of the year and was replaced mainly by LHB.
