    He may not be as good as Hamilton or Sogard. If he could play SS, he'd definitely get a chance at some point. Being a 2b/3b really limits his upside unfortunately.

    If DET wins first two, they are in. They'd have zero incentive to win that last game. It's more likely that the Sox lose tonight AND the Astros lose tonight and then Pumpsie complains for the next 6 months that they backed into the playoffs because the last two games of the regular season didn't matter at that point for the FLOPS regardless of what happens.

    The k rate is climbing too high for me. If he had Kyle Schwarber type power, I'd overlook it, but he's not that guy. We'll see what next year looks like. Lots of injuries and lots of k's.

    I give a lot of $ to MLB for mlb.tv and it's annoying to get locked out of several games every month. Not sure what I'll do about games going forward. 🏴‍☠️

    Was Lewis the top prospect in baseball when promoted to MLB at age 23? No. Was he even in the top 20? No. It's not the same thing. You're probably the first to compare the two.

    This is Varland's first GS this year. He has an 851 OPS as SP. I've read that he's just working as an opener.

    Lowe is too expensive for the Breslow's model, not for JH. Bregman is a goner. I'm not planning on a trade of an OFer, because I've thought they'd do the simple move every year and they seem to ignore it time and time again. I think they add one SP, but it's lower leverage than we are hoping for.

    Like I said previously, no complaints about the offseason moves. In season moves leave something to be desired TBF.

    They played .560 ball the rest of the way. All they did was just not swoon like they had in previous years. They didn't go on an amazing run or anything. (It helped that their pitchers led MLB in ERA in August, which had nothing to do with the guys they picked up).

    So overpay for average players to fill out the bottom of the lineup where the Sox still have holes? I don't see what the big deal is. They overpaid for a starter that has an extensive history of not staying healthy and he probably won't be helping them in the playoffs anyway.
