    I think there is a bit of conflict between the GM and manager on many teams. I think that story is a bit overblown. The problem is that the starters are taking a while to heat up and their leadoff and cleanup hitters are on the DL.

    I'm not patting myself on the back saying I got something right unlike a lot of others on here. I wasn't surprised that I agreed with Fred about WMB. It happens a lot. Some people think things are black and white/realist vs optimist. I don't. I think the labels are kind of dumb and pointless.

    I agree, no way does Youk come back next year. While there is value in placing him on the bench, the organization should weigh the risk/reward of obtaining a mediocre trade return vs any clubhouse issues which may or may not exist. We made it out to CA last month. Next trip may either be August or December.

    The Cincinnati Enquirer is wondering if it might be career ending, that he's no longer an everyday player. His arthritic shoulder is holding up worse than in prior years.

    If I'm a GM, I have little interest in an aging player who has broken down 3 straight years. His trade value is miniscule. Keep him as a RH bat off the bench and insurance in case of injury.

    He hasn't been very good at 3b, but he'll be fine at SS. Really? My position is leave WMB at 3b. Find something else for Youk to do.
