    Except they were a .500 team with a $170M payroll. They weren't last until dumping the large Beckett, AGon and CC contracts.

    So "ballwashers" from your previous post wasn't personal? Don't call people names and people probably won't call you one back. With you it's always "pollyannas, ballwashers, etc." but the second someone uses a term you don't like, it all of a sudden is a personal attack... If you don't see the hypocrisy in that, then I really don't know what to say. If you toned down your rhetoric, people might actually try to understand your point of view. However, with the way you act now, why would anyone ever take you seriously?

    Yeah, I think you don't really read other people's posts or just really struggle with reading comprehension. Every poster on here has said something negative about the FO at one time or another. Maybe you just have a terminal case of hyperbole?

Do you need a spin free history lesson? 2008 - came just shy of going to WS 2009 - get rocked by the Angels in postseason 2010 - sign Lackey, numerous injuries destroy the season 2011 - sign CC, trade for AGon, on pace to have great season, epic swoon in September, miss playoffs by 1 game 2012 - hire BV a move you liked (ensuring the team would blow up), team dislikes manager who is more concerned with the media than winning games, team in turmoil and playing .500 baseball, team is gutted by trade with LA, Sox have AAAA roster to end the season Are they one of the 4 worst teams in MLB? No f'n way. At this moment, they're rebuilding and still are a 85ish win team. If you enjoy being miserable with your fandom, you should have become a Pirates fan. Those Bucs have a nice little stadium too, you know...

Or Ells could have been hurt even worse in CF since he clearly has the injury bug as you clearly stated. 3. Like the back of his hand??? Does absence make the heart grow fonder. Bay was competent in LF, not exceptional. And like you said, Bay probably would have been injured anyway. 4. Even if they signed Holliday, they still would have picked up Lackey. 5. Of course "now" people think CC was a bad signing. Prior to 2011, the majority of people were clamoring for him to be signed by the Sox.

    No. That would be horrible. Sox should stay in Boston. I din't want them to be the Boston Red Sox of Marlborough.

    I think no trade is made for Ells. He has an ok season. Ends up resigning with the Sox as no other offers blow him away.

    Major money? Not unless they move Ells, but that's not happening until July at the earliest. There will be moves to round out the roster, but none to bring in AS talent. Certain posters will be pissed, but it is what it is at this point. Not much wiggle room left.

    We had a poster on here getting all pissy because a friend saw Lackey drink 5 Bud Lights after a game one night. The problem wasn't the drinking, it was his elbow.

    People complained last offseason that Ben moved too slow. He did the majority of his work after Jan 1st. I expect more of the same this year. I expect about 2 trades and several more depth signings.

    Get rid of interleague play. Stop the AS Game from deciding home field. If the Sox start too slow, everyhome game against the Yanks could be meaningless. Fantastic. Thanks Bud.

    Well, being "worthy of a platoon" is actually a step up from where they had him last year (AAA).
