Without any assistance, this conversation somehow gets dragged back to Paps. Big surprise there... :thumbdown Anyway, I don't see the issue with just giving Taz a shot and leaving the past in the past rather than bringing it up all the time. That ship sailed long ago. As a Taiwanese announcer would say he's "gone like an ex-girlfriend that will never come back."

Found it interesting that it was Miller warming behind Bailey. Maybe that's who gets the call next? I think Taz could definitely handle it. How long until Bailey is on the DL and Wilson comes back?

ME: Well, since 09, Paps did consistently blow games when it mattered the most (ALDS vs Angels, game 162 vs O's). IORTIZ: Is that the consistency you're looking for? Yup, a 2.32 ERA player with 60+ IP and 35+ SV through 9 years is the consistency I'm looking for, but unfoutunatly ain't gonna happen. Not sure why Papelbon and Bailey are in the same discussion, is not even fair. BTW do you want another 3 pages of discussion of why Papelbon was/is so good? Or you are being a dick... again.

I'm not disagreeing with your assertion of Jacko's knowledge, just that the awards have no real value.

And even if the awards meant anything (they don't), Jacko still got 0 votes as most knowledgeable last year. It must be one of those language nuances that I don't get?:dunno:
