    I like Doubs. Just wish he was more focused (too many walks, comes into camp out of shape). He has the ability to be a solid #2-3 in the league. He needs consistency. With Lester's struggles this year, it's looking less likely that Doubs will get traded in the offseason.

    It's ok to be wrong. They throw to 3rd because a runner getting to third is more likely to score. You can typically get a much larger lead at second as no one is holding you on. Furthermore success rates for stealing third are higher than for stealing second by a few percentage points.

    It's easier to steal third as you can get a larger lead with pitchers paying less attention to you.

    According to Baseball Reference, the most similar pitcher to Harang is Bronson Arroyo. Clearly it doesn't account for Hair Above Replacement.

    If he has a few innings to spare in September, I'd use him. Otherwise, it's not worth the risk.

    I just think relievers are wildly inconsistent and that I'd rather go for some options that wouldn't cost prospects, like last year's Breslow trade.

    I wouldn't do that deal. They got Breslow for Albers and Podsednik. Wouldn't trade Brentz for any reliever.

    That settles it, I definitely don't want to trade for a reliever now. Going all in for 2013 could ruin this franchise for years. It's not worth it.
