Dojji, it's definitely out of the box thinking. You'd be running it more like an NFL team with an offense and a defense.
However, I agree with UN that it would give high spending clubs too much of an advantage.
Dempster has taken a lot of heat lately. He's going to come out tonight and pitch a solid game.
The ChiSox have nothing left to play for at this point.
Adam Dunn is my favorite non Red Sox player. However, Chi Sox SUCK this year. They have one of the worst records in MLB and Sale won't pitch this series.
The only teams with worse records are the Astros and Marlins. Yuck!
Nope, it's here to stay. I'm actually in favoe of increasing roster size, which could help bullpens from being overly taxed. I'd have a 14/14 rule where teams are allowed 14 positional players and 14 pitchers.
3 hour 10 - 9 ballgames.
It shouldn't take 45 seconds between a pitch. Also, relievers shouldn't need pitches to warm up when they get to the mound (maybe 3 or so).
What they should do is just move start times to 6 pm and have more afternoon games.
Some people are overly worked up about him being a potential 3rd string QB. There are way worse 3rd stringers out there. I don't see what the big deal is.
