On Hanley in LF:
"It was the day Hanley Ramirez officially became an outfielder for the Red Sox.
"He was awesome," Red Sox first base and outfield coach Arnie Beyeler said by phone. "He was very receptive. He was upbeat and had that great smile on his face. He was great, and I was very impressed by what we did today and what I see. He's a good athlete. He's a big, strong guy. To play shortstop in the big leagues he had to be somewhat athletic, so I'm excited about that. I was very impressed by what I saw. He had good footwork. He caught every ball today. He didn't have any problems with anything we did."

Best things about RI: Newport Cremery, the food, Dells, the big blue bug, TF Green, the PawSox, Daves, Thayer St, Torchbearer Tattoo Shop, and it's a nice buffer between us and the CT state police who derive all their income from speed traps.
RI the state is very nice. The drivers and sports team affiliations are horrible though. My cousin who grew up in Cumberland likes whatever team Nick Swisher is on. I don't know what went wrong withher.
The media and fans were more than generous to Crawford.
We've seen horrible defense in LF before. If his bat is going well, people won't ride him at all. He's basically DH#2.
It's called having a conversation. This is a public forum where we all share ideas. If I disagree with an opinion it shouldn't be the end of the world. If someone doesn't agree with an opnion, don't take it as them calling you out for being a dumb ********. At the end of the day we are all talking back and forth about baseball. No one here has divine knowledge or inside information from the clubhouse. Just releax. I'm not always attacking you. If you weren't so defensive, we'd get along much better.
Again, whether UN was here or not, my posting style wouldn't change. I disagree with UN a lot and don't carry his water. He can fight his own battles when he needs to.
I just think it's funny how you guys spend far more energy talking about him than he does of you.
All I was trying to do was explain truck day. Before the pink hats, no one but newscameras would go to see the truck off. Wally was able to stay in hibernation back then. Now it's an event that people go to. It never used to be that way.
