    The best hitter in ST last year was WMB. These games don't matter much. Ciriaco was a ST All Star too in 2012.

    What's the point in trying to "expose" other posters. This is the slippery slope where people start getting into fights. Can't we just talk about the Sox without having to belittle anyone who doesn't think the same way as you do? Even if someone is an apologist, what's the point in shoving it in their face unless you're just trying to start something. Other boards have no bearing on what happens here. Even from year to year the posters on this board have different beliefs about the Sox. When you keep bringing up old s***, it's not going to have any positive outcome for the board.

    If I had to rate it: Stats>performance on Xbox>number of twitter followers>professional scouts>college scouts>HS coaches>little league coaches>any animal picking an object on tv to determine who the winner is>talksox posters whether included in other categories or not

    You can have clutch moments during the regular season to. I remember many more weak popouts to end a game from Nomar than successes.

    I'm not going to fight your circular reasoning on this. In life, you make your own luck. If you lose, it's because you weren't good enough not because you were unlucky. I think Xander had a s***** season all around. He was fine in 2013 when it mattered.

    Luck is a ******** excuse for losers like Billy Beane. Clutch exists. Some players rise to the occasion (Ortiz), while sone shrink from it (Nomar). Just because it's hard to quantify doesn't mean it's imaginary.
