  1. No, because they didn't need a second 3b.
  2. I like you.
  3. Guess they'll let anyone into that place!
  4. Anyway, no, don't retire Tek's damn number!
  5. Don't remember any good OF play from him while in Boston. I do remember him not going all out to catch a ball in the 9th inning of game 162 in 2011.
  6. Plus bad coaching (Zimmer) and ownership (letting Fisk and Lynn go).
  7. But why sign TWO 3bs?!?!? It was a boneheaded move imo.
  8. Those mid-80's Cardinals teams were doing it wrong! Also, see Carl Crawford in TB.
  9. It's more enjoyable for me to be more of a bystander these days. I've had enough "fights" with A700 and pals that it just got boring and repetitive and never accomplished anything anyway.
  10. He most likely could have received more if a first round pick wasn't attached to him.
  11. C'mon, let's go for a stroll down the Mariano Hwy together!
  12. At the very least, you are able to take whatever you dish out. Most former posters on here would attack and then be offended if anyone stood up to them. And a good feud is always fun to read when the offseason gets boring. I'd like to see a good UN/iortiz thread right about now...
  13. Tessie >>>> Wally Wave
  14. Not a FA until 2021. No reason to move on from a young talent like that. That's a guy you keep while rebuilding.
  15. I'd trade Owens for an AS SS.
  16. If that's the case, why did the Braves trade Andrelton Simmons?
  17. Maybe they tried to move him, but there was nothing worthwhile to trade for?
  18. Yeah, totally not appealing to have your DH be a lock for 30/100. What a bum!
  19. "The problem with Spier's piece is that it suggests a degree of organizational structure that is just short of rampant cross functionality when it fact, the Sox organization has often been plagued by rampant cross functionality and the overstepping of virtually all of those boundaries of which Sprier speaks so eloquently." Vintage jung. Back in midseason form! I like it!
  20. Was Larry the president prior to DUMBrowski?
  21. Worse than people on cellphones waving at the camera.
  22. I think Kimmi is great. She brings a different perspective to the board. I also like that she doesn't back down. I don't always agree with her opinions, but that should be ok. The name calling that has been flung around here is dumb, but way better than it has in been the past. There really hasn't been any bad personal attacks since the last time someone was banned.
