  1. Let's get a win and stay above .500 for the year fellas.
  2. My weather app said it'll rain until about 5:00pm and be cloudy after. If they can dry the field, they should be fine.
  3. He only caught Kelly, not Porcello.
  4. Now if we could only get jung to think this way.
  5. That's your biased perception.
  6. Hanigan caught Joe Kelly's start. Don't remember anyone faulting him.
  7. Swihart and Price were fine on game 1. Not sure how Swihart turned into a pumpkin a week later.
  8. Fans spend a good deal on tickets and concessions. I wouldn't boo, but they can do whatever they want.
  9. He started off strong this year.
  10. Maybe you should go on that trip.
  11. I've never heard anyone say this before.
  12. "Hi, I'm Pablo Sandoval. You may remember me from such baseball highlights as breaking my belt buckle, falling ass over teakettle while running the bases and needing to taken out of the game due to dizziness from running the bases. With new bamboo flavored Shakeology, I've been able to get more energy, feel full and lose a ton of weight."
  13. If he came back and crushed it, he'd be immensely marketable.
  14. What's it looking like now, Dickie Albert?
  15. It was reported that Hanley was the first on the field today. I only find it interesting because the Red Sox twitter machine was posting yesterday how Pedey is always the first one out. Maybe Pedey lost his smile? Maybe they just thought Pedey would get more retweets?
  16. You need to build a team around more than luck. Unfortunately, that's exactly how this team has been built the past two years. Too many "what ifs" imo.
  17. While I don't like watching Wright for aesthetic reasons, I think he could be a consistent starter who puts up a bunch of QS. Like I said previously, his performance would be about what I'd expect from Porcello. He's not a top of the rotation guy, but I don't see him getting hit around the way Kelly and Buchholz do too often. To me, Wright seems like a better fit for the rotation than Kelly, who I'd move to the pen when ERod is ready. That first inning started ugly, but I have no complaints about anything that happened after that. The Sox should be able to put up 3 runs against Estrada and the Jays' bullpen.
  18. 2011, they were just beat up at the end and would've been smoked in the playoffs. 2012, they just quit on the coach. 2013, they had a #2. 2014, they blew up the team. 2015, they didn't have a 1 or 2. 2016, is the first year they really needed a 2.
  19. If the rotation was: 1. Price 2. Mystery #2 3. ERod 4. Porcello 5. Wright I think the Sox would be fine. They just needed one other top of the rotation guy. Porcello is fine as a 4. I don't really care about the contract even though it was silly to sign him early.
  20. The first inning for Wright was scary. He turned it around quick though. I'm more confident in him than Buchholz or Kelly.
  21. He made more than 2 bad pitches.
  22. 1. Watching a knuckleballer is boring. 2. It's so hard to catch that it's nearly impossible to find a guy to do inadequately. If you do find one, you basically need two roster spots for one pitcher.
