  1. Johnson isn't close to coming up either.
  2. He's pitching in Pawtucket this weekend. Just needs to get innings in.
  3. I wouldn't put too much into the stats for his first 2 starts since it only amounts to 9.1 innings. His career numbers are a bit more relevant.
  4. We've been burned by prospects in the past, but these guys are killing it right now. It also helps that we have a recent history of successful prospects (Xander, Betts, JBJ, Vazquez, Shaw). Need to start developing the arms though.
  5. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.cgi?id=aparilu01&t=b&year=1971 It looks like he went 0 for 47 at the end of May the first year he was here. Still was an AS though.
  6. While I love a good conspiracy theory, I have to agree with Dojji here. When I mentioned the lap band procedure before, it was only in jest. There's no way that this would be the case. The story would get out and the Sox would be in a lot of trouble. Plus, I can't see the Players' Union going along with it.
  7. Ok, so he has looked bad against LHP then so far? Couldn't this also be a blip for Young?
  8. So he HAS looked helpless then? He had a really horrible at bat after the Papi HR. I'm not worried about his future performance against LHP though.
  9. Your assumption is correct. YOTN has no problem sniffing out trolls and banning them when necessary. It's better to just ignore the poster.
  10. You know who else looked helpless? PEDROIA.
  11. If you guys don't like someone, there is a really simple fix: click on that user's name, select "view profile" and click on "add to ignore list." It makes this place much more civil. Thanks.
  12. At the risk of being told off by Dojji again, please just leave your previous drama off of this board. Move on with your lives. This is somewhere new. All of the old BS from BDC needs to be forgotten per YOTN.
  13. True enough. It was quite the mixed bag. Evidence of there being too many cooks in the kitchen.
  14. Ken Rosenthal reported that the Sox didn't insure Pablo's contract. If they weren't going to insure his contract, not sure they'd ever insure someone else's.
  15. He earned himself a ring! http://www.boston.com/sports/extra-bases/2013/12/13/red_sox_notes_iglesias_will_savor_his_ring

    The Cubs

As long as they lose in the playoffs, I don't care.
  17. When was Swihart an OF? He was primarily a SS in HS and played a little C. He never went to college.
  18. I don't mind anything. I agree that this place is just supposed to be fun.
  19. There was a big debate when he was dealt because people didn't believe in Xander's glove. Today, it's obvious they made the right call.
  20. Clay, why can't you always pitch like this?
