    Hoskins is a good pull air guy. He would have been interesting as a cheap DH at Fenway.

    If JH can't willingly go over budget for Skubal, he'll never go over budget. I won't want to hear "aggressive" or "uncomfortable" from them again if they try to get Skubal, but can't get it over the finish line.

    131 wRC+ '24 (665 LHP OPS) 111 wRC+ '25 (676 Away OPS, 600 LHP OPS) Maybe other GM's just are worried that he's not a fulltime OFer and is trending in the wrong direction? Maybe they also don't like his personality and the distractions that have come with having him on the team. 🎾

    He started off pretty skinny when he was drafted, but has put on some weight. He wasn't initially projected to be a power guy from what I remember.

    He hit LHP decently in '25. Elevated k rate, less power, but his OPS was about even. In previous years, it was pretty rough. With his swing and miss, it's hard to say what it'd look like in MLB. I think he needs another season in AAA TBH.
