I drank Moxie growing up, so Good and Pithy was fine. The only candy I never liked was bit o' honey. Give me a package of circus peanuts over those things.
IDK, but it was clear there was something really wrong with him at the start of the season. I hate when teams have their guys pitch through it. I know surgery isn't always a great option, but when it ends up in TJS anyway... Well, DUH!
They had talked about Garcia getting a mitt last week. I'm sure they'll find somebody, but they haven't spent a draft pick on a 1b in a while. Justin Gonzales had played a little 1b, but seems to be spending more time in OF this year.
One or two of them probably will be in the pen for a few weeks. Tolle is already seeing a reduced pitch count in his starts and could be primed for a bullpen spot in Sept.
If they need a 2b called up, it'd be Sogard. I'd add Romero before I'd call up Grissom. He has a better approach at the plate and can field multiple positions.
Vaughn Grissom is not a good baseball player and has bristled against what the Sox hitting instructors are trying to teach. He has stated that he's only hitting well now because he is back to doing what he used to do. He doesn't want to be in the system and isn't a good fit here. He's a contact approach guy with little power and is a bad fielder. I'd rather have David Hamilton on the roster and he's been pretty bad.
Why does Max keep posting Toro's full season numbers but only Raffy's SF numbers? I was pretty fair TBH.
Romy's best games since Devers left were while he played 2b!
