  1. How about batting gloves or eye-black?
  2. 35 errors on the road? Each inning would average about 4 errors at this point. The fact that the record was tied is meaningless.
  3. Obviously, that team already values and requires versatility. The need has not diminished one iota, obviously.
  4. He had never caught for Pomeranz before the trade, so why would it be a Pomeranz move? They picked him up because Hanigan was injured and they wanted a solid backup to Leon while Vazquez was still playing in AAA.
  5. The need for versatility never diminishes.
  6. Would the robots have stirrups?
  7. There was more of a chance of him getting DFA'd than having his option picked up just so that they could trade him.

    The Cubs

If I worked with Yankees fans, it could be annoying. Fortunately, I don't have many Yankees fans in my life. Honestly, the most annoying Yankees fans I ever had to deal with were in CA.
  9. But they won't. What's the point in discussing it if there's no way it'll happen?
  10. If he were on the FA market maybe. He won't get there though.
  11. Yup, those 50 AB's show that he's definitely better than former All Star Brock Holt!
  12. Career MILB numbers: Hernandez - .320/.396 430 k's 131 bb's Holt - .373-.410 277k's 187 bb's Hernandez has a little more pure power (i.e. HR's) than Holt, but he strikes out a ton, walks less and still has a lower slugging than Holt.
  13. Then feel free to look at the rest of Marco's MILB numbers which are still not as good as Brock's were. Just because he's played well over a short stretch, doesn't mean that Hernandez has suddenly turned into a MLB regular.
  14. Well, you already cherry picked his stats by saying his first month shouldn't count.
  15. Holt has a much higher OPS in AAA than Hernandez has. Once Hernandez has been up in the majors long enough to be charted, he'll start to struggle. It's not like his bat was setting the world on fire in AAA this year.

    The Cubs

If it's not the Sox, then I don't really care who wins. If the Cubs or Yankees win, it doesn't change my life at all.
  17. They have 7 games against the O's and 6 games against the Jays left. Those series are far more important than going .500 on a west coast swing.
  18. If they pick up the option, they aren't trading him.
  19. I'm not a Farrell fan, but I can't blame him for going easy on Ortiz this year. I want him as close to 100% as possible when October comes around.
  20. The Sox are beating up on bad pitching and struggling in low scoring games. It's a sign of a good regular season team that will lose quietly in the postseason. Pythagorus hates them!
  21. He's not overpaid today. He'll probably be overpaid tomorrow. He has had a terrific bounce back season. I won't take that away from him. Let's see if he can keep it up.
  22. Hernandez isn't even in Holt's offensive stratosphere.
  23. Um, ok?
  24. http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?player_id=660162#/splits/R/hitting/2016/MINORS Not sure he has hit "well enough" against lefties in 2016.
  25. Really? He let Lester and Lackey go. He had 3 last place finishes under his watch. He was a player development guy who was unable to develop any pitchers. He wasn't "horrible," but he wasn't much more than mediocre.
