  1. Francona was the greatest manager the Sox ever had. Anyone that continues to tear him down for his years year has a serious grudge. In the lost season of 2010, they still won 89 games. HE AVERAGED 93 WINS A SEASON WHILE MANAGING THE SOX...
  2. If he makes it, it'll be in the pen.
  3. That fan is an *******. Taking video of himself confronting the manager during the game. f*** that guy. Perfect reaction by JF there.
  4. Beni wasn't great in the OF. Don't let runners tag from 1st to 2nd in the playoffs.
  5. How do you know that the "throw ins" weren't needed?
  6. Or it shows that there are no "right" decisions and that it's all just luck. Goodbye to my worldview.
  7. Waaaaaaay back!!! That season will always be my favorite non WS team.
  8. Considering that there are murmurs about Vazquez lacking focus, it'll be interesting to note how much he is used.
  9. And an example of ballplayers not being very bright. Throw a few warm up pitches, Torrez!
  10. I believe HFA has a marginal effect. It's really not enough to stress about for MLB teams though. It's far more important for rowdy NHL and NFL stadiums.
  11. Marrero not on the roster. Relief Pitchers: Barnes Ziegler Pom Koji Kelly Kimbrell Ross Jr
  12. https://twitter.com/PeteAbe/status/784043236339875840 Playoff roster.
  13. http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?player_id=642770#/career/R/hitting/2016/ALL Javier Guerra absolutely stinks. Red Sox sold high on a middling prospect. Good for them. I don't think anyone lost sleep over losing Logan Allen either.
  14. 28 games.
  15. Well, Hanigan and Holaday aren't going to come in to pinch hit for anyone. There purpose is to be a backup defensive catcher.
  16. I agree. The other great sign from Pedroia is that he was hitting the ball to RF more than ever and was less focused on the "la luna" nonsense. Punch and Judy Pedroia is best Pedroia, imo.
  17. I agree. I believe Hernandez has also spent a little time working on OF defense to add versatility. I don't believe Marrero's glove is a big step up from what else is on the roster and his bat is nonexistent.
  18. I'd rather have Pomeranz than Moore who hasn't been the same pitcher since his injury.
  19. I believe Toronto is fake Canada...
  20. No s***. That was my point. I just don't see how Showalter would have changed his pitching if he was the home team. It wasn't a "save situation" in the 9th, so he wouldn't have been brought out then. He clearly didn't want Britton in the 10th or 11th for whatever reason.
  21. What would the change have been for Showalter if the O's were at home? He still would have waited for the O's to score before bringing in Britton. They still would have lost. The only difference is that there would have been a better chance of s*** not being thrown on the field.
  22. Moore went from the AL East where he was struggling and put up better numbers in the NL West. Big surprise there. I think most of us would have rather had Pomeranz (All Star this year) than Matt Moore. Hill wouldn't have helped much down the stretch as he struggled with blister issues and only started 6 games.
  23. It's like some people forget what happened at the end of 2011. If they kept throwing out the O'Sullivans of the world out to the wolves, this team might not have even won 90 games. They could have either been playing yesterday or be home playing golf...
