If no one else is concerned about Pedroia's lack of power this year, I don't know what to say. He's a singles hitter who plays great defense. The current version of Pedroia is easily replaceable.

Pedroia's lifetime stats HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW HE IS PLAYING RIGHT NOW AND HOW WE CAN PROJECT HIM GOING FORWARD AS HE AGES.

Cozart has never played 3B in the bigs. I'd pass as it would be buying high on a guy with a mediocre track record.

No, but don't complain about me "buzzarding" if I'm simply stating that he's not playing well (he's not) and there's reason for concern (there is). I'd rather be a buzzard and be on the right side of history than be a fanboy.

It's not the end all be all, but we need to stop saying Pedroia is a great player. He's not what he used to be. For Old School: .296/2/24 with 2 SB and 3 CS. His OPS is .743. It is what you'd expect out of Jody Reed, not Dustin Pedroia.

I agree. He needs to play everyday and at least be given the shot to adjust to MLB LHP.

May not be ready? He's clearly overqualified for AA right now. I don't know why they didn't at least bring him up to AAA.

4 HRs in last 6 games for Devers. Might as well just let him beat up on pitching that he can clearly handle. At this point, they must be holding him in AA so that he can play in the AS game and then a quick promotion to AAA. I'd still bring him up now.

Best for the team would be promoting Devers.

He was pinch hit for by Chris Young. It had nothing to do with Pablo, but more to do with the matchup against a LHP.
