    The Padres are a "small market team" that wants to limit payroll and horde prospects. They'd love to have Mookie, but don't want to cover $27M since that's like a quarter of their team's salary. They are willing to take on additional salary, but only to a certain extent.

    Henry has stated that he's fine going into the season with not resetting. My guess is the Padres since their GM is on the hot seat. Another bad season and he's gone.

    They shouldn't trade Beckett, CC and AGon for Rubby and Alan Webster! That's not a good enough deal for the Sox! We're tanking this season! It makes the Dodgers better in 2013 and 2014! We'll have no shot in 2013!

    The only difference is that the Astros are being much more public with bringing guys in. Here, it's been radio silence. Honestly, I care far more about dealing Betts/Price at this point. I think the Sox could be fine with just running Ron Roenicke out there as interim with no bench coach for ST.

    @Feinsand Red Sox are still in the thick of their managerial interview process. Per source, Boston is unlikely to make a hire before next week.

    @jimcallisMLB I'm assuming there's some overlap with those above-average & elite tools. Dalbec was not far off, feels like he's been very close the last 2-3 times we've done the list. Good D at 3B, won't budge Devers, could win @RedSox 1B job. #Top100Prospects

    The lux tax for Myers is 13.8M. My guess is that it would be 1/4 less if he was traded to the Sox, so about 10.35M? The trade would save the sox about 17M.
