  1. When it was signed, everyone was saying it was a huge steal for the Sox.
  2. I think Perales ends up in the pen TBH. Not necessarily a bad thing either. Dobbins looked like a #4 to me. Harrison pitched terribly in AAA, but showed promise at the end of the year. If he's the #5, it's not the end of the world. Crochet Bello Sandoval (yuck) Early Harrison Depth: Dobbins (when healthy), Criswell (long guy in the pen), Tolle, Fitts (trade bait IMO), Crawford, Uberstine
  3. Dodgers's pen isn't built for the postseason.
  4. Garrett's best season since '21. Can't complain about it at all. Most people thought Chapman would just be a wild setup guy. He was otherworldly.
  5. I don't remember that at all because most people weren't all that sold on Grissom's defense or power potential.
  6. Nate Eaton and Nick Burdi combined for 0.00 ERA. At least deserve an honorable mention! 😎 Great write up as always.
  7. Send Cora to DR with a 1b mitt and have him hang out with Devers to smooth it over. That's all they had to do. It's just a FO that doesn't communicate well. It'll work out fine for some situations, but bite them in others.
  8. How was Bregman compliant? He never went to 2b?
  9. This won't break my heart don't you know
  10. I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy...
  11. Doesn't particularly help when you're facing a LHP, but ok.
  12. They originally said Bregman was going to be signed to play 2b. I think that was just smokescreen to give them time to smooth things over with Raffy. He never ended up taking practice at 2b in ST. They really bungled it. Never figured out their plan.
  13. I stopped looking at BTV once they charged $.
  14. Masa has value if the Sox are willing to eat a good portion of his contract TBH. Only 2 seasons left. If the Sox pay half of his deal, you can probably find a taker and get a prospect. Or you just trade for someone else's bad contract. Or you just DFA the guy and clear the roster spot!
  15. Casas was already a bad 1b. Masa was already at DH. Brezzz needed to move one of them in the offseason and then communicate to Devers that he's going to spend the rest of his career at 1b. He'd have months to get ready. The transition would have been much easier on him if it was worked on during the offseason IMO. Maybe all along he wanted to trade Devers anyway? It wasn't his extension TBH.
  16. Bregman did not look very comfortable at 3b to start the year.
  17. The score doesn't mean anything. It's just for fun. Just look at the calc.
  18. If he wasn't injured. If they'll take him, I'm shipping him down.
  19. 2025 throwing errors: 0 DRS: 2 OAA: -1 He was better than some of the guys we had at 1b.
  20. And it's good that he's still putting up WAR. It makes it easier to trade him. He still has value.
  21. WAR is still a counting stat and Duran led all Sox in PA's. If you go by bWAR, Rafaela has more WAR with over 100 fewer PA's.
  22. When we all play fantasy CBO, we all value the players differently. Funny how that works.
  23. I think he shouldn't be ranked that high. Dude didn't throw 40 innings and was barely pitching 3 innings per start when he was out there. Had blister issues and a crazy walk rate. Bullpen arm IMO.
  24. It just comes down to them playing about the same number of total games played TBH. They really aren't similar hitters. Yandy's OPS+ is about 30 points higher, his bb rate is like twice as high and he has like 50% more career HR's than Verdugo. The math of the similarity scores just produces weird results.
