  1. Enough blame to go around. I understand that Devers didn't want to go out during the season at 1b and be embarrassed, but c'mon man...
  2. I'm just saying that it could be a fatal flaw when the games get close. They didn't want to have to pitch Sasaki twice in 3 days. Not a recipe for success out there when you need to close out games. That pen was bottom third in ERA this season.
  3. Last year: McDaniels picked with only 3 IP of AA ball - returned during the season Nunez picked with 0 IP of AA ball - returned during the season 9 of the 15 selected players were returned to their original teams (5 before the end of ST).
  4. Paez is too far away IMO. Hasn't thrown above High A and didn't pitch 20 innings last season. Good pitcher, but hard to stash on a MLB roster. Mullins is a bubble guy, but do the Sox really need another LH reliever on the 40 man?
  5. You may have liked how it looked, but the execution of it left something to be desired. The 2026 version may be better than the 2025 version. It depends on health and Bello TBH.
  6. Not sure he'd get picked in the draft. I think Sandlin would though.
  7. I mean, Uberstine was listed 11th in my depth chart!
  8. It's the only guy that was willing to take the job. All the qualified candidates said no. That's what happens when you keep letting people go. Henry fired Theo, Ben and DD. All three had won WS. All three were highly valued everywhere else. DD and Theo are HOF type guys.
  9. When it was signed, everyone was saying it was a huge steal for the Sox.
  10. I think Perales ends up in the pen TBH. Not necessarily a bad thing either. Dobbins looked like a #4 to me. Harrison pitched terribly in AAA, but showed promise at the end of the year. If he's the #5, it's not the end of the world. Crochet Bello Sandoval (yuck) Early Harrison Depth: Dobbins (when healthy), Criswell (long guy in the pen), Tolle, Fitts (trade bait IMO), Crawford, Uberstine
  11. Dodgers's pen isn't built for the postseason.
  12. Garrett's best season since '21. Can't complain about it at all. Most people thought Chapman would just be a wild setup guy. He was otherworldly.
  13. I don't remember that at all because most people weren't all that sold on Grissom's defense or power potential.
  14. Nate Eaton and Nick Burdi combined for 0.00 ERA. At least deserve an honorable mention! 😎 Great write up as always.
  15. Send Cora to DR with a 1b mitt and have him hang out with Devers to smooth it over. That's all they had to do. It's just a FO that doesn't communicate well. It'll work out fine for some situations, but bite them in others.
  16. How was Bregman compliant? He never went to 2b?
  17. This won't break my heart don't you know
  18. I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy...
  19. Doesn't particularly help when you're facing a LHP, but ok.
  20. They originally said Bregman was going to be signed to play 2b. I think that was just smokescreen to give them time to smooth things over with Raffy. He never ended up taking practice at 2b in ST. They really bungled it. Never figured out their plan.
