  1. I'm not going to get worked up over a sinkerball reliever.
  2. Comes down to Lugo vs Bellhorn. Lugo had a higher dWAR in 07 than Bell did in 04. Both had better than normal years.
  3. "YOU NEED TO BE GOOD DEFENSIVELY UP THE MIDDLE." Yankees 2000-2003: Let's just throw Soriano, Bernie and Jeter out there and see what happens...
  4. Interesting that the Yankees collected some of the all time worst 2b: Steve Sax (his only ok defensive years came with the Yanks though) Soriano Chuck Knoblach
  5. Yes, Soriano was bad at 2b, but was good in OF.
  6. Loaisiga/Sanchez for Chavis/Arauz I would not look forward having to spell Loaisiga though.
  7. 13>18>07>04
  8. Side note: what has happened to my life to get me to become a Gary Sanchez truther?
  9. @YahooSports The Marlins are hiring Kim Ng as their general manager. She will be the first woman and first Asian-American GM in the league. Historic
  10. One for one it's an overpay by the Sox.
  11. Sanchez only made 5M last year. He's not breaking the bank.
  12. It was just wrong seeing Youkilis playing 2b, but it has now been normalized. Mientkiewicz too...
  13. Moustakas has over 600 innings at 2b. That's just wrong.
  14. And you get an OFer too. I think Chavis might hit himself out of the league in a few years. I think Sanchez has a decent chance of being an All Star again as he was in 2019.
  15. I enjoyed watching 2020 so I bet I'll enjoy 2021 even more. (If 2020 went for a full 162 it would have been really rough though.)
  16. Travis Shaw has played how many games at 2b?
  17. So 2020 was a normal year?
  18. @Rotoworld_BB Jackie Bradley 'is a priority' for Astros
  19. It's what I've always proposed.
  20. And what happens if you draw the sample out to 4 years? What if you only do 2 years? Looks a little better, no?
  21. Once our robot overlords overwhelm the umpires union, more and more catchers will look like Sanchez.
  22. This starting pitching staff is way more unsettled than it was in 2012. Sale will be out for half the season. ERod is a huge question mark due to COVID. Maybe they grab Bauer and another starting pitcher? They would have to in order to compete. I just don't think Bloom is a Bauer guy. I think Bloom goes for more under the radar guys at this point. I don't see them making a big splash. I think they'll fill out the roster better than 2020, but they aren't going to go for the top 5 FA's. Maybe they splurge on Kim? Does signing Odorizzi and Hendriks make them championship contenders? IDK. Beni and JD are two rather large question marks going into the season too. If you told me that they won 2021 because of bounce back seasons from JD and Beni, while Verdugo puts up huge numbers and the pitching staff is top 10 I could see it. I could also see them struggling to be above .500.
  23. If Sale and Erod were certainties for 4/1, I think you make a run at the playoffs. I think right now they are on the outside looking in.
  24. Never read Rob Bradford: But the Red Sox need a full-time centerfielder for 2022 and as we sit here right now --
  25. Sanchez revenge tour and Tauchy plays OF.
