  1. Rolaids spells relief.
  2. Devers has better range, but has an unacceptable amount of errors from throwing. Devers has a higher ceiling at 3b but may never get there.
  3. I’m glad Coco’s Disciples came out of retirement to help.
  4. You did get PG right. You get an A+ for that one.
  5. Casas is apparently very good at 1B. He's got good athleticism. He's supposed to be much better than Dalbec or at least to have a defensive ceiling of being much better.
  6. I'd keep Whitlock, Taylor and Sawamura over Andriese for sure. Valdez? I'm not a fan, but I want to see one more year out of him. Typically these situations work themselves out due to injury or bad performance. I don't think they need to dump Andriese do to a roster crunch.
  7. Has Whitlock been throwing multiple innings in ST?
  8. I understand. I think we know JD will be gone at some point. The question is if Casas is mashing, what does that do to Dalbec? If Devers' defense doesn't get better, I could see him being pushed to DH and Dalbec taking over at 3b.
  9. You have spotted them, but it definitely was not 90 percent. Around the time of April 2016, there were a lot of BDC guys that suddenly became Dutchy suspects (maybe Slasher?).
  10. There are other guys on the 26 man roster worse than Andriese, namely Brice.
  11. See... I knew...
  12. Just a disturbing screen name right there. Gross. Glad we got the good version.
  13. It may be more difficult, but 1. it helps lux tax space which we are all so concerned about now 2. clears up a potential log jam 3. helps establish the future core of this team
  14. Maybe they start off Casas in a platoon. Dalbec could also give days off to JD and Devers. I think there are enough AB's to go around. JD may have to even play LF at some point this year.
  15. If Casas is hitting 2.000, they should bench Devers if they have to in order to get Casas in the lineup.
  16. I'm sorry. My joke was a little too "inside" for you. I was just riffing on the "or not" being an inside joke that we keep alive. Whenever a new poster comes around and starts bickering with A700, they are often accused of being a former poster (Dutchy) who has been banned multiple times for being a dickbag on the forum and filling various users' inboxes with porn and gore. This kind of went away after 2016's influx of BDC users as all the new Dutchy suspects may have melted down A700's circuits.
  17. If he just can't develop that 3rd pitch, you then call him up and slot him in the pen. That probably wouldn't be until later in the season though. It could make more sense to bring up Seabold instead of Houck if the Sox really need a starter.
  18. He still has lots of value going forward. I don't see JD here long term so popping Casas in a part time role for part of a season is no big deal. They could even deal off JD instead of Dalbec.
  19. I too like to dabble in hyperbole.
  20. I don't think they "give up" on him. I think he gets a mix of playing time from 1B, 3B and DH.
