  1. If I had to spend 36M for each position: Tanaka Archer Colome Bradley Caesar Pillar Otherwise, I'd not sign a 2b and replace Archer with Quintana (Arroyo/Chavis at 2b).
  2. They'll extend him and Devers by opening day 2022.
  3. No, the problem was bringing in both Hanley AND Pablo and not just one of them.
  4. Plus, finally being able to trade Pedroia.
  5. The "sell Panda hats" plan?
  6. How much does it pay? Benefits?
  7. Are you Lou Merloni?
  8. Everyone else adds through the draft too.
  9. I haven't seen enough of DeShields for me to want him in CF. Just seems like an underwhelming option.
  10. It had a nice whiplash to it. The opposite of this offseason.
  11. 335 BABIP was career high too.
  12. Could probably get him for less. 1/3.5?
  13. I'd take Tanaka and Kluber. Grab JBJ, but anticipate only getting Pillar. Sign Wong, but settle on a cheaper option like Hernandez. RP would be Colome and some other filler.
  14. Not having a 2020 is the big problem. Hard to really move a franchise up or down in the rankings when you don't have games to go on.
  15. And a much cheaper contract most likely. I'd still prefer JBJ on a 2/3 year deal at 8 AAV, but think he signs for more than that.
  16. It was just a saying to make Sox fans feel better about perpetually looking up at the Yanks in the standings. BS then. BS now.
  17. When they signed Panda and Hanley within 24 hours of each other, most people on here were just confused as to what the plan was. Turns out, there was no plan.
  18. Me either. The talk about Sox being interested in DJ is weird to me. More like they were doing due diligence at the start of FA period.
  19. Pillar is a piece of crap, but he's cheap and can be a place holder for a year or two.
  20. "Oh, they aren't signing Lester because they will use that money on Scherzer." LOL Nope. "Sox have no 1b of note in the minors. Napoli is gone soon enough. Sox need a young 1b. Why not sign Abreu?" LOL Nope.
  21. Bello has been steadily climbing all the rankings.
  22. @redsoxstats The idea of the Red Sox signing LeMahieu seems to go against everything we've heard so far this winter. Tough to see that fit for many reasons, including how Fenway would seemingly take away from his home run totals. 7 of his 10 HR this year were non-barreled, 6 into right field.
  23. If they believe in Duran, there's no reason to use prospect capital on a trade for CF.
