    @redsoxpayroll Removing Andriese from the roster means effectively declining the 2022 $3.5MM club option in favor of a $250k buy-out. Other 2022 options still to be decided: Richards ($10MM), Perez ($6MM), Vazquez ($7-8MM), Schwarber ($11MM mutual).

    They kept Marcus on the 40 man for a long long time. It makes more sense to do that for a high ceiling guy like Jeter.

    Cora may not believe in UZR/150 either. Renfroe is starting in CF today, but has a -89.2 UZR/150 in CF this season.

    Is that stat just based on getting to balls and fielding them cleanly? Maybe the issue is the throwing to 1B? Maybe the issue is the type of contact the starters are giving up?

    @alexspeier Cora on how he hopes Houck improves moving forward: ‘If he improves, he’s on the Cy Young Award ballot’ I guess? He needs that third pitch. Whitlock got one from Andriese this offseason, Houck should go hang out with him.

    @alexspeier Cora on Shaw: ‘It gives us a veteran at-bat off the bench…It’s a more experienced at-bat than Franchy.’ Sox also like the way Shaw controls the strike zone. ‘It makes us a more complete unit.’

    I think we may as well keep Downs in AAA as long as we can afford to, even if that means wasting a 40 man spot on him.

    2 for 5, 1 HR, 2 R, 2 RBI, 1 K Seem like a good game in a do or die situation. Maybe we'd have to go back and check is barrel rate?

    Bloom's former team doesn't put a high priority on the bat of Catcher. My guess is that he may be fine with Wong being the backup next season.
