  2. @IanCundall Since his promotion to @GreenvilleDrive, Nick Yorke is hitting .375/.453/.607 in 64 PA. For the year, he is hitting .331/.420/.517 with 13 HR, 35 XBH, 49 BB:61 K Yorke OPSing 1060 in high A like it's nothing. Does he start there next season or do they push him to AA? Yorke swing mechanics
  3. @alexspeier Fwiw, while Connor Seabold is on the taxi squad - and now almost sure to get a start in Chicago - Kutter Crawford remains scheduled to start tonight for the WooSox. If Kutter Crawford starts for WOO tonight, Pivetta must be on the verge of coming back.
  4. @BillShaikin It’s official: Trevor Bauer will not return to the Dodgers this season. MLB and MLBPA have agreed to extend his leave from the team through the end of the season.
  5. I brought this up yesterday. There is definitely a non zero chance that both teams miss the playoffs.
  6. @ChrisCotillo Taylor Motter cleared waivers. He goes to the WooSox. My apologies to Worcester.
  7. The current expectation is that Seabold will start and Pivetta should return this weekend.
  8. Anyone else getting new popup adds at the bottom of the page? I don't mind as I know bills need to be paid. Just want to make sure it's just not solely a me thing.
  9. RIP to an all time enjoyable thread.
  10. Mariners would have to forfeit. Fine by me.
  11. He was going to get it anyway because of Pivetta.
  12. And I thought the 2004 Sox were the idiots...
  13. @MattRyCollins Chris Sale tests positive for COVID
  14. Sorry, but I still can't get over him resting the starting pitching 2 springs ago. Is it happening all over again?!?!?!?
  15. Today: Sox - 77% chance to make the postseason Yanks - 57% (were about 90% 2 weeks ago) Jays - 52% (were about 10% 2 weeks ago)
  16. Frustrated that the Sox didn't win last night. Jays got a win. We sat on our butts. Fire Cora!
  17. And the Rays rotation has not yet had the good fortune of facing the Joey Gallo led Yankees.
  18. He was bad in the pen during the season, but in the postseason: 7 Inn, 1 ER, 3 H, 4 K, 3 BB. He may have been a little lucky, but I'll take it.
  19. Yes, and we've seen other teams in this race go on a similar run. You are never as good as you are during a winning streak or as bad as you are during a losing streak.
  20. I went over to statcast and Nick Senzel has a very similar sprint speed with a much worse ARM score. I had a much larger post with charts, graphs and inbedded video, but got the dreaded TalkSox database error. That beautiful post is lost to history.
  21. 3.79 FIP, 1.36 WHIP, 16 QS 5.7 Innings per start. He'd be the #3 or 4 on this team.
  22. Really a perfect fit IMO.
  23. Sox should start drawing up plays where Renfroe takes a cutoff throw from Duran.
  24. His arm is worse than Verdugo. There was a reason he was a 2B in college and not a SS.
