Wow, seems ok.

Hernández, who won a World Series with the Dodgers in 2020, will help fill the void the Red Sox have at second base. The Red Sox told Hernández that he will get the bulk of his reps at second base, but he could also see time in center field -- where Boston appears likely to lose Jackie Bradley Jr. in free agency -- and in the corner outfield spots while also spelling Xander Bogaerts here and there at shortstop.
This was reported extensively at the time.
"Oh, so you just pulled Quintin Berry off the top of your head?!?"
Unfortunately for Mr Berry, he's at the top of my "remember a guy" pile. I don't know why he stands out as he wasn't a huge contributor.
It was the only team I looked at. Have you never heard of a team having a defensive replacement for a stretch run or adding a guy that can steal bases?
The Sox have done it a bunch.
Off the top of my head:
Dave Roberts
Bobby Kielty
Mark Kotsay
Quintin Berry
2018 team didn't need OF replacements (Mookie, JBJ, Beni) so they went ahead an loaded up on IF guys like Pearce, Brandon Phillips and Ian Kinsler.
And the original plan was to put Kiké at 2b. That Cordero LF, Verdugo CF and Renfroe RF alignment wasn't going to carry this team. Tomase had a good article yesterday about the defense. Let me see if I can find it again.
