  1. I had one in the hopper, but thought twice before hitting "post quick reply." I'm not ashamed though. Just ashamed at how small that stool can sometimes be.
  2. @SPChrisHatfield Nick Yorke has reached base in 65 of his last 66 games. .385/.445/.708 with 14 HR over 311 PA in that time split between Low-A and High-A. Easily the Offensive POTY in the system this year. It's not really close.
  3. Nope, one of those ergonomic kneeling chairs from the 1980's.
  4. I was thinking bean bag.
  5. Baez is the "Don't Boo. GOAT."
  6. The 2011 Red Sox won 90 games. They didn't need to give that rotation any help down the stretch!!!!!!
  7. So it's ok to go nuts for Renfroe throwing a runner out, but we must keep our mouths shut when he drops a catchable ball? That's the argument?
  8. Also, the Orioles might be a bad team, but even the worst of the worst still win 1/3 or their games.
  9. I agree with the top 4. After that, the players are kind of bunched together and almost any order from 5-12 would make sense.
  10. 1. There is no ghost runner, it's a real live runner. A ghost runner is when you are playing baseball with not enough players so you need to use an invisible runner. 2. Umps have the authority, but what kind of incentive? The best means is just a pitch clock. 3. Tanking and fire sales at the deadline are good for baseball. 4. Are we expanding rosters or just instituting forced retirement? 5. Getting rid of cheat notes would slow the game down as coaching staff would have to micromanage the defensive shifts.
  11. Schwarber back to C.
  12. Ray vs Sale. Whitlock goes 3 IP.
  13. There are lots of underwhelming C's to choose from this winter. The OF options don't move the needle for me.
  14. Maybe they just grab a short term guy like Simmons?
  15. Devers could go to LF. I do worry about Story's numbers away from Coors.
  16. Bogey is faster than Kiké. Maybe he still wants to play next to his buddy Raffy.
  17. At some point, the Sox have to throw a bone to Red Sox Nation TM. They need to extend somebody long term. Why not Xander and Raffy?
  18. Red Sox 2022: Schwarber 1B Kiké 2B Story SS Correa 3B Renfroe RF Xander CF Devers LF
  19. He's faster than Kiké, maybe he could take over in CF.
  20. I would sit Xander down and try to reason with him that RF and 2B would be a better fit for him as he ages.
  21. Sign Story and have him play 2B. If Xander leaves, Story moves to SS. If Xander stays, try to work out who gets SS long term.
  22. JD in LF, Dalbec at 1B, Schwarb on bench to start the game.
  23. Vs LHP, I think you guarantee Dalbec a start. Against RHP, I'd probably put Schwarber at 1b and JD in LF. Kiké would be in CF and Verdugo in RF.
  24. Sox 10-4 (93) Yanks 8-8 (90) Jays 11-5 (93)
  25. He may opt out if you keep him at SS.
