  1. Flip flop flippity flippity flippity flip flip flop
  2. Suzuki will be too expensive to be a 4th OFer.
  3. I hope they can do better than that. And yes, they will not bring the pitching back that we are hoping for today.
  4. @JonHeyman Management source on the state of CBA negotiations: “As bad as I’ve ever see it.” Prediction: “2 1/2 months of pain”
  5. @SmittyOnMLB Boston Red Sox interested in Steven Matz, free agent starting pitcher (report) Ok?
  6. Only offensive needs are 4th OFer and 2B. I wouldn't be shocked if the only offensive move was to bring Iggy back. $$$ will go mostly to pitching, unless they are extending current players.
  7. Keep your wet dreams there.
  8. @JonHeyman Red Sox have made a multiyear offer to Eduardo Rodriguez in addition to the $18.4M qualifying offer
  9. Freeman's negative dWAR is still higher than the guys we had at 1b in 2021.
  10. There's been general reports about the Sox looking into the SS market (Correa and Semien). I don't really see that happening though. Also, Bloom seems to be good at keeping things under wraps. I can't think of too many deals that we knew about ahead of time. Kiké?
  11. BTV accepted Duran and Groome for Fraley and France
  12. Logged into Baseball Ref. Jarren Duran's page: Similar Batters 1. Jake Fraley (988.1)
  13. The problem with Heaney's roller coaster is that you're bound to end up underwater.
  14. Those 4 would project out to Jake Fraley if Jake Fraley was a pitcher.
  15. I'm sure if you are trading for Duran that you aren't expecting MVP numbers in 2022. I do find it interesting that they are giving him a 0.1 BsR for that many PA's.
  16. He's a roller coaster ride that I'm glad the Sox are not part of.
  17. Wanna hear a joke? From MLB Trade Rumors: Clubs project him as a sound bounce-back candidate with left-hander Robbie Ray serving as the model.
  18. I think Houck is a better fit in the pen too, but a guy like that has much less value than Castillo.
  19. Not today Satan.
  20. Trade for him and extend him. You're only getting Castillo at that price point because of the lack of control. With Houck, I'm not sure if he gets any better as a pitcher. Right now, he's a back end starter. Would I rather 5 years of a back end starter or 2 years of an ace?
  21. I won't hold my breath.
  22. And he doesn't have to be 1st half of 2021 good, just a normal Barnes year would be fine.
  23. Hard disagree.
  24. I'm fine with deal #1.
