  1. @redsoxstats 11 runs in 4 games Against tonight's Oriole starter Zac Lowther the Red Sox scored 10 runs in 5.2 innings and hit .414/.485/.621 off of him in two previous games this year.
  2. Yes, the team just seems to be running through the motions.
  3. This is more wins than the vast majority of fans expected of this team. However, this is just not fun right now. I think the owners just wanted to be competitive this year and had no expectations of making the playoffs. If they did, we would have seen more movement at the deadline and last offseason. We'll have to see if they loosen the restrictions this November or if it'll be wait until 2023. I have a sinking feeling they are going to hold off on FA acquisitions due to uncertainty surrounding the CBA, but that's ******** IMO.
  4. Well, yes, 2017 Sale doesn't give up that HR to Mountcastle. I think people need to come to terms with what Sale is now.
  5. I think walking and putting the ball in play aren't mutually exclusive. I was just saying that I don't really like Dalbec's all or nothing approach. Casas also has big power, but he's able to really make better contact and have more productive at bats.
  6. That's how the numbers play out. Maybe the Rays are just luckier as a whole? It just FEELS like they string hits together better than the Sox do. Maybe it's just a deeper lineup? IDK.
  7. Now look at their k%'s. Dalbec loves having lots of unproductive at bats. Also, I'm willing to overlook growing pains from 2 years ago. Casas has almost a 400 OBP this year.
  8. Keep Xander at SS. Hope Casas is ready ASAP. Sign Manny Pina. Have someone work with Devers all offseason. Platoon Verdugo/Renfroe. Bring back JBJ and put him in RF.
  9. I'd rather they end the regular season on a high note and then lose an unmemorable WC game that we'll all forget in a year or two.
  10. I saw lots of lazy fly balls.
  11. It'd be better if they played well and just got blown out in the WC game. The way they can stink up the joint is just not fun to watch. By the time Mountcastle got up in the 6th, you could already see that the Sox didn't really have any fight in them. Then Sale gives up a HR, pitches angry and loses his control. Bats just never woke up.
  12. The future looks better with guys with good bat to ball skills like Mayer, Casas and Yorke. All or nothing players like Renfroe and Dalbec are why we go on extended slumps.
  13. It's one of the reasons why Casas is a better option at 1b than Dalbec even if we're talking 4/1/22.
  14. You could almost see the 2011 season slipping away when they got stuck with a patchwork starting rotation. Right now, they are all presumably healthy. The 2011 team showed no life towards the end and just died on the vine. This team will go on short bursts where they look like a playoff team and then just embarrass themselves the next series.
  15. If the Red Sox lose today, the offseason post will be up tomorrow.
  16. How about just not relying on HR's and just string a few hits together?
  17. 3 hits.
  18. Choke job.
  19. 3 hits against the O’s is a choke job.
  20. Nope, don’t like it!
  21. Unraveling
  22. Two lazy popups
