  1. I don't get into bidding. I offer him an extension now. If he doesn't take it, I deal him.
  2. The muppet man, Tom Werner. I believe he was also the architect of the Pablo Sandoval era.
  3. I really think Fangraphs believes he was worth $28M last year. I really think he hasn't been a bust yet. If he was on the Sox, they would have been a better team last season and may have made the WS again.
  4. I said Fangraphs thinks that.
  5. Yankees fans were right to be excited about the baby Yankees in 2017. Red Sox fans probably have good reason to feel excited about the baby Sox coming through their org.
  6. Fangraphs had him worth $28M last year.
  7. Probably 22.5 max.
  8. I guess you would be buying out the last arb year, right?
  9. I think it's both, honestly. I think you can have a mediocre product on the field, but people will still tune in if they enjoy who they are listening to. When I lived in LA, I listened to Dodgers games all the time. I didn't care about the Dodgers in the least. I didn't care about their players or whether they won or lost. I just liked listening to the GOAT, Vin Scully.
  10. I am no OB fan. The TBS product the other night was very enjoyable IMO.
  11. We had laws and rules about mask wearing but "muh freedumbs!!!" Again, going down this path isn't a productive conversation and will only serve to get someone banned...
  12. I'm an open checkbook on him the same way I felt about Betts.
  13. No more than 3. I'd offer an in year extension and if he doesn't take it now, I'd deal him.
  14. What a surprise that the year NESN adds him to the broadcast that the entire product becomes unwatchable. Good job guys!
  15. Josh Taylor sent to 60 Day IL Arauz activated from COVID list and optioned to WOO
  16. Just as a reminder, this ^^^ is why the Sox lost last night.
  17. Not allowed this season, sorry.
  18. Just flush the bottom third of the lineup and start over IMO.
  19. Berenstein
  20. Bogey/Lugo to Cards for Gorman
  21. Either pink slips or robot umps. I don't know how else to fix the situation.
  22. Definitely not the Champagne Bloom.
  23. @alexspeier Per source, Winckowski was only slated to go two innings today. Not an injury. Winckowski was 94-96 mph. Sox just wanted to give him a shorter day as part of workload management - game reps to stay on a starter's schedule without too much volume. But... WOO Manager Chad Tracy said: "Just potential stuff that could happen up top (BOS) that they don't know yet... so we wanted to make sure bewteen Seabold, who threw yesterday and Winc that there's options available. I'll leave it at that. I don't know what'll happen, but those things happen sometimes. And we'll see where all that falls."
  24. @PeteAbe Whitlock is being pushed back to Monday. Pivetta starts Friday. TBA for Saturday and Sunday. They’re hoping Rich Hill takes one. Cora suggested a bullpen game for the other. But have to think Seabold or Winckowski are possibilities.
