    @brendan_camp #RedSox relief prospect Jacob Webb has struck out 24 of the first 56 batters he has faced with Low-A Salem this season Not sure why he's repeating Salem this year. He had a 0.90 ERA last season with a 1.10 WHIP. It was a SSS, but his 2022 17.05 k/9 is kinda outrageous. Need to push him up to Greenville.

    9.00 ERA in the month of May. Coming on the heels of a 2/3 IP 4 ER 3 BB performance, today's 3.1 IP, 5 K, 4 BB is at least an improvement! He had 8 walks in his first 4 GS. Has 7 in the past 2. Don't know if there's an injury or if he's overthrowing.

    He has never been a part of a ballclub that has rushed a prospect past AAA. I don't know why we'd consider it an even remote possibility.

    Realistically, I think there's a very good chance that it could get really ugly this year (like 2012 ugly). However, with the prospect pipeline the Sox currently have (and ignoring 2020), I think this will be the low point of Bloom's tenure here.

    Bloom doesn't have a history of moving guys from AA directly to MLB. I think he'll take his time with the MiLB guys. It has worked in Tampa and I need to trust that process. It may not be pretty for this year, but I think German could have an impact on the pen next year. I think a guy like Zack Kelly should be given a look this year.
