    No? Ortiz in 03 and 04 had 145 and 147 wRC+. Devers can do that. Ohtani had a 142 wRC+ at DH this season and got 3.8 fWAR from it. Devers can do that.

    If he transitions to DH and puts up wRC+ in the 140s, he'll have 4 fWAR seasons consistently. That's $32M in value per Fangraphs. 10X30, get it done.

    Per Fangraphs, 1 fWAR is worth 8M. A 5 fWAR season would be equate to 40M on the open market in value.

    Raffy is better than Story simply because of how good his bat is. I think he has a generational bat.

    It would be the Sox' biggest contract of all time. It's a risk for sure. Cora likes him. He's an MVP candidate when at the top of his game. Bogey's power was way down and his fielding as you've reminded us so very often is "below average" at best. The only benefit is that he's best pals with Raffy and is a great clubhouse fit.

    I think he could be a little cheaper due to age, QO and maybe his comfort level in BOS?

    Hard to say what Ward is? Even pre-surgery, he seemed to get bye in spite of his high bb rate. SoxProspects liked him, but were unsure how his stuff would play at higher levels. Walter should be a fair back end of the rotation guy, but coming the injury is a question mark. Always old for his level, but did well in AA. Murphy is probably just a reliever, I'll give you that. They may give him a few spot starts. Mata should be the best out of this bunch. I think he'd be a lights out late inning guy if he scrapped one of his offspeed pitches.
