  1. Aside from Kimmi, who else refuses to see flaws in Bloom?
  2. Just remember, your initial reaction last night was indignation at fans making jokes about McGuire: Once the outrage machine sputtered you had nowhere else to go. Shame! Shame! Shame!
  3. 1. Fans did assume they could have re-signed Lester after the trade and the Sox probably still could have. 2. When Mookie was traded, it was over. Anyone who thought otherwise was fooling themselves. 3. The Vazquez trade is not even comparable to the previous two. It's not a major trade at all. He was a good player, but not even in the conversation as the other guys. C'mon.
  4. This will not stand, ya know, this aggression will not stand, man.
  5. @JeffPassan The package going back to Washington for Juan Soto and Josh Bell, sources tell ESPN: - LHP MacKenzie Gore - OF Robert Hassell III - SS C.J. Abrams - OF James Wood - RHP Jarlin Susana - one more major league player That's the only holdup right now to the agreed-upon deal. Padres just can't let Snell go?
  6. It's more important to present a clean image than to be a good person. /s
  7. Hill, no. Wacha, maybe? Strahm, yes. I wouldn't pay any of their salaries though.
  8. They should have mildly pretended to go for it this year. I think the fans would have eaten it up.
  9. He's not in over his head and he doesn't walk on the water. It's somewhere in between there.
  10. No matter what happens, half of the board will be pissed off at Bloom. One poster will state that the Sox are the worst organization of all time and no player should ever want to play for them. Some will utlimately be supportive of Bloom and trust the plan. Some will be critical, but support the overall plan and be somewhat in the middle of the spectrum.
  11. It's somewhere in the middle.
  12. Kimmi asked for a generalization with the questions "what makes so many..."
  13. Need to let them get it out their system. Otherwise they'll be walking around like a loaded gun.
  14. http://news.soxprospects.com/2022/08/july-players-of-month-brainer-bonaci.html Bonaci and Luis Perales were players of the month for July.
  15. ^ Not a realist.
  16. Pfffft... Players sign based on their feelings, not based on the $$$'s on the contract!
  17. Low testosterone. Unhappy with how their lives turned out.
  18. Apparently, not only are the ChiSox eat all of Dreckman's salary, they are also sending the Red Sox either a PTBNL or cash. Say what you want about the other two trades, this one is an absolute win.
  19. It must be a directive from above because it's a very tough tight rope to walk.
  20. Unless your last name is Dombrowski.
  21. I think most mutual options are dropped for whatever reason. We'll see what happens.
  22. Last time out for Bello, he was listed as a starter, but Davis ended up starting. Maybe he piggybacks again? Maybe Hill comes out after Bello?
  23. So what Cone did was like a million times worse, got it.
  24. Getting rid of Dreckman is just and absolute win. Did the ChiSox really eat all the salary?
