    Hayes is outstanding at 3b, but I don't know if you put up with his bat at the bottom of the lineup. For a long stretch of the year, you'd have two auto outs with Rafaela and Ke'Bryan. It would be nice to bring him over so that I could see the myriad of ways that his name would be butchered on here: K'Bryan, Ke'Brian, KeBrain, Kebryan, Hays.

    They had a very good offseason last year. The in-season moves were bad. We were hopeful that this offseason would repeat last year. For now, it feels incomplete.

    There have been quite a few articles over the past year or so about how horrible the PITT ownership is. The franchise's ineptitude has nothing to do with the fanbase. When they are good, the fans show up. From 93-26, they were only in the playoffs in the 3 years from 13-15 (29 out of 33 years below .500 too).

    No, they have no clue what they are doing. They can't get trademarked in Sacto or Vegas. They were hoping to get more gov't funding than they actually got. They spent years in Oakland not spending on their team. Back in the 80's and early 90's, they were able to fill up that stadium and had stars. They really screwed up a storied franchise.

    CJ Abrams is a pretty bad defender at SS (career -45 OAA). If the Sox are acquiring him, they should be moving him to 2b instead of Story.

    It's not booming. All the revenue that is being generated are basically related party transactions. There is no boom. ChatGPT actually saw activity decrease the past two months. The company valuations are fake. What AI can do is limited, especially when talking about LLM's.

    2025: 5th highest contract given out (Soto to Mets at 765M) 2024: 1st and 2nd highest contracts (TOR in on Ohtani, Yanks and Mets had similar offers on the table for Yamamoto) 2023: Largest contract was 1/20 to Kershaw 2022: 4th highest contract to Freeman So people are just mad about the Ohtani/Yamamoto deals then? That's what ruined baseball? Ohtani chose to stay in the LA area and Yamamoto wanted to play with Ohtani? Seems like you should be mad at the players rather than the org? Other teams had the same money on the table for those guys and could have gone larger if they wanted. It's not like LA was blowing everyone out of the water.

    Their goal was to make the IF defense better this year. Signing Alonso and Suarez would not meet that goal.
