  1. Yeah, Pete Abraham really is going out of his way this offseason to ramp up his flabbergastic nature.
  2. It depends on how he's throwing. If he's only hitting 91, he's being sent back. If he's touching mid 90's with fringy offspeed stuff, I could see OAK/WSH/PIT being able to stash him for the year and thinking of him as a long term solution somewhere once his arm is built back up.
  3. Cleveland Browns 2015-17
  4. 100%. If he doesn't work out there, they'll move on and forget he even showed up.
  5. To DD, it's a Rule 5 pick. The risk is a loss of $100,000. It's nothing. If Noah shows up and can throw smoke. It's a win. If he can't, you can trade him or let him go back. I don't think he really overthought it.
  6. @MacCerullo Baseball America has the #RedSox No. 10 on its preseason organizational talent rankings, up one spot from last year.
  7. https://twitter.com/soxgifs/status/1630947424050069505 Valdez/Soto HR swing side by side. @PeteAbe Great conversation with Enmanuel Valdez this morning. He heard that NESN’s Kevin Youkilis compared his HR swing last night to Juan Soto’s. But he originally learned it from his father Humberto and grandfather Aciado. “They taught me,” he said. “I’ve had that swing a long time.”
  8. Ravelo higher than Freili Encarnacion? I'd disagree with that one at the very least. Rogers is SP #53.
  9. Sorry, I didn't realize that was an option. Jeez...
  10. That was directly on the team website? Maybe the pricing was increased based on the opponent?
  11. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Boston_Red_Sox_broadcasters Stockton/Hawk replaced Ken Coleman/Pesky.
  12. How would they do that?
  13. Or it took a few years for Bautista and Dickey to become what they'd eventually become? IDK.
  14. I don't even know if there have been reports about what his velo looks like. All I've heard is that he's done some agility drills and light throwing.
  15. My childhood was Ned Martin with Bob Montgomery. DO and Remy was a top notch pairing though.
  16. I remember going to a Brockton Rox game and being very surprised at how cheap it was. I don't really remember Pawtucket being a super discount for food.
  17. I tried to stay away from the top of the prospect list. Rafaela has tantalizing tools. If he can learn a better approach, we'll see an improvement on some of his metrics like exit velocity. He shows a lot of power when he makes good contact, but he makes a lot of weak contact by chasing bad pitches just because he knows he can reach them. Mata just isn't a guy who has been able to stay healthy ever. I wonder if they keep him in the rotation or just push him to the pen. Yorke really needs a bounce back here. If he starts off hot and can put 2022 behind him, he'll be a bonafide top 100 guy again. Right now, his prospect standing has slipped. He also needs to stay healthy. Is Blaze's issue healthy? He played 120 last year. The concern for him was being able to hit velo. Bleis is young. He was even young for the complex league. Scouts were drooling over him when they watched him last season. He only had 2 k's his last 8 games.
  18. Grady wasn't a good manager. He had a good team and just sat back and let things happen around him. He was very slow to react.

  20. Oh no! Not that! Pete also had to walk back his initial tweets about how much of an embarrassment it was for Song to be headed to Phillies camp.
  21. Maybe that's just market rate and not a mark up?
  22. $53 for the Marlins. The cheapest was $36 for bleachers. The low A Mets are $10-12. We'll wait and get to see basically the same product with much better seats.
  23. You have a link for that?
  24. This is Alfaro's 2nd start, both at DH and he'll be playing 1B in the WBC. Seems likely that he will probably not be a C on the Opening Day roster.
  25. Joe Musgrove fractured his toe in the weight room.
