  1. Oh yeah. I get what you're saying. Average is median. While adequate is sufficient. Then i ask, in baseball, how can below average be sufficient? *patiently awaits for english major Doiji to find more dictionary words to weasel out of argument.
  2. It's not hijacked, since the topic we are is still Lars Anderson, isn't it?
  3. Classic. A mark of genius.
  4. So? Fail. Your faith in Anderson was widely spread across your posts as the fallback if Lowell was hindered, citing Youk's ability to slide over to 3rd and hand the position to Lars. Take a f***ing stand. No, but you sai he'd be "adequate", and "adequate" means major league ready, because "adequate" means "Average" english major, and the "Average" first baseman last year had an .824 OPS, meaning: A) Fail. Because you refuse to admit the fact that you stated it. B ) Fail. Because you underestimated what "Average" or "Adequate" production from a first baseman stands for, and now you try to hide behind a "He could have a .750 OPS" which is Ross f***ing Gload production. So no. I bet those 8: A) Sucked. B ) Were injured. A .750 OPS can only be "adequate" for a middle infielder, or awesome defensive catcher. Why? You said yourself he could provide "Adequate" production, and "Adequate" is a .824 OPS or better, which is not all that bad. Strawman. And off the record, i never said he wasn't "overmatched", i defended his approach at the plate, because i've been following the couple of ABs he's had, and he's been swinging at strikes and has taken a couple walks, so is that not a sound approach, even if the results aren't there? Nope, your crimeS are being a hypocrite, overstating things, and meddling in other people's arguments without having anything constructive to add. Strawman and childish, take a stand, you made a comment full of fail, contradicted your own view of Anderson, get called on it, and turn the thread into a "Melrose Place" sized soap opera, be a man, and admit you failed, and got owned. If you're such a big fan, then why not take a stand and show your support for the kid by letting other people argue and keeping your asinine comments to yourself.
  5. Besides, we're forgetting the most important reason the Yankees acquired A-Rod.....to screw the Red Sox. Had they not made every conceivable effort to pry A-Rod away from the Rangers, he would have become a Red Sox afterwards, and the "curse" would be approaching year 91.
  6. We're not hating on 'em, au contraire, mon ami, we wish nothing but to see either of them (both in an ideal world) being part of the Yankee lineup for extended periods of time this year.
  7. And yet he won't shut up and keep embarking in useless arguments just for the sake of listening to his keyboard while he types. P.S: You have reached optimal levels of awesomeness Crespo.
  8. I'd LOVE to comb through the whole Teixeira thread......but i won't. Here's a bit for you: Player A: 20 ABs, 2 hits, 0 walks, 0 HBP, 0 XBH, 2.2 PPA, 10 Ks. Player B: 20 ABs, 2 hits, 4 walks, 0 HBP, 3.8 PPA, 7 KS. Even though both players were "overmatched" by their pitching counterparts, who handled themselves in a more productive manner? Is there not a difference in the numbers? If you say no, then take your major in FAIL with you and stop creating useless arguments.
  9. Again, i just don't like it. I find words like "not much limit" to be a bit too much for my taste. Seeing as there countless scouting sources EVERYWHERE, i fail to see the issue with my dislike of soxprospects except for diony's lack of social life and Doiji's taste for dumb argument.
  10. Phrases like "no limit for Reddick's power potential". Really? And Kalish projecting as a corner OF. Really? Maybe it's just me, but just a little overprojection on a player will make a scouting report seem "homey" to me. But again, that's just my opinion, i don't have to like soxprospects.com if i don't want to. What are you, a founding member or something?
  11. I hate Derek Jeter as much (maybe more) than the next Red Sox fan, but you have to respect his poise and maturity at the media shitstorm A-Donna's comments caused, if it were me, what Keeper pointed out would have been my exact response, but since it's Jeter, he simply has nothing to say, earning mad respect and justification for the man-crushes Yankee fans have on him. So, as much as it hurts me to say it, mad props to the Yankee captain.
  12. Not only that, but by the time he comes back, 50 games (the standard for first-time offenders), will not have passed, thus the amount of games and conspiracy don't add up.
  13. I agree wholeheartedly, since a lot of the defensive "deficiencies" a lot of people (including myself) claim A-Rod has at 3B, upong closer inspection are found to be the cause of him fielding balls that he would have no bussiness getting to if Jeter played adequate D.
  14. Every rule has its exception, but after reading reports on Kalish and Reddick, i stopped taking their reports seriously, but that's just me, specially considering there're so many sources to find scouting reports on minor league players.
  15. Not trollbaiting. However, i seem to recall a certain poster's claims that we "didn't need Teix because we had solid corner IF and LARS WAS ON THE WAY". Who might that have been? Anyways, i stand by my statement. All i was trying to prove is that maybe he's a bit overmatched because of the jump in quality and control in pitcher stuff, which is completely understandable for a 21-year-old playing in ST, and not by his hitting approach which seems to be pretty advanced and polished. So again i say, you're a hypocrite.
  16. Yeah, i read scouting reports, my genius friend. I was asking because if someone saw him live, he might be able to give a more up-front opinion on his repertoire. Besides, soxprospects.com, seriously? They might usually be right, but they're a little biased for my taste, then again, that's what you're all about.
  17. You, sir, are a hypocrite. Of the worst kind. That is all.
  18. But what about his secondary stuff? I read of a 3-pitch repertoire: FB, Curve, Slider. Anyone know if those are indeed his only 3 pitches?
