  1. Reading is cool. Do it. You might like it. The point of the post was to demonstrate that the only thing wrong with his analysis in my opinion is how he said Lars is "Raw" as a hitter. I just tried to demonstrate it's wrong because according to scouting and his own numbers, he's actually got a nice approach to hitting. I didn't insult or bash him, just said he might wanna re-think his opinion because Lars might actually be ML ready now. So stop trying to play the hero, or whatever it is you're doing, because this is a Red Sox discussion board, and i respectfully conveyed my opinion, and if you don't like it, you can, in all honesty, eat my shorts.
  2. Seriously, what can you expect from Gom?? He likes to keep his "i'm a 4-year-old" act up to date.
  3. This is basically the issue i have with your take on Lars, a700, i don't mean it as an attack, but here are some excerpts from the Scouting Reports i've found on Lars, as well as his career numbers: From Fan Friday: From MLB.com: From ProSports.com: Career Stats: http://www.rotowire.com/Baseball/player.htm?ID=9310 So scouting reports from 3 credible sources citing his advanced hitting approach, his willingness to take a walk and ability to hit to all fields, plus his minor league stats, in which he has never had an OBP under .385, that alone should tell you how polished he is as a hitter. That, my friend, is a Major League caliber approach.....if you want to talk about "Raw" approach, you should be talking about Josh Reddick, because that's a raw approach to hitting. A lot of scouts believe that Anderson is ready to hit major league pitching NOW, and i suggest you don't let a couple ST at-bats make you think otherwise.
  4. a700, could you clear up the confusion as to what exactly is Tazawa's average fastball velocity?
  5. Sarcasm> Peter Gommons and Homer Diony.
  6. Actually no, he might actually have become poorer by signing this deal. Because i recall reading somewhere that there might be a way Legacy Sports (former agency) gets a cut of Manny's new deal due to the fact they were owed a bonus from Manny's Sox contract which he ended through a series of maneuvers which constitute a direct assault on the financial well-being and could be easily attacked by his former agency to also gain 5% (besides Boras' 5) of the total value of his contract. If such a turn of events were to happen, then Manny's new contract would be valued at 40.5 million dollars, add to that deffered money and legal expenses, and he might actually end up losing money. And i would Laugh My Ass Off.
  7. I expressed myself in a wrong manner, i suppose. Because i was actually trying to exaggerate. Can't pick up sarcasm over the interwebs, i guess.
  8. Simple, you know they're similar players, but Ells has a more varied skillset. Or am i wrong?
  9. Similar skillset. They ARE both baseball players. Dimaggio or Mantle? Seriously? You make a stupid joke about how Brett is a 3b then ask me to compare him to Mantle or Dimaggio? To that, i say lol. And to you, i say lol as well.
  10. *Yawn* As usual, you change the tone of your posts to suit your current needs. For God's sakes, take a stand, man, or shut your keyboard. Here's a $20, fill it up.......and could you help me with the oil change while you're at it?
  11. Then pump my gas, bitch! And as far as Jacko goes, why are we still arguing with him when it's clear he's just scared of the awesomeness that John F'ing Smoltz is going to bring to the Boston Red Sox.
  12. It's simple, you've stated it yourself, Ells is an upgraded version of Gardner, why demonstrate something you have stated yourself. The only thing i argue against is the fact that you're making their dimensional similarities to be production similarities, and they are not. Bottom line, Brett Garner is Jacoby Ellsbury lite.
  13. Gom you are a retarded lawnmowing homer. A) Ellsbury is the better player, as you have said yourself. B ) I haven't stated Ells is great, my point is how much GARDNER SUCKS,and how much better Ellsbury is compared to HIM, yet some yankee fans wanna make him out to be the next George Brett or something. So just do us all a favor and STFU.
  14. Cut him some slack, let's assume he simply forgot the playoffs are in OCTOBER and that September holds the most important part of a PENNANT RACE, and that also, a WBC played with rooks and AAA fodder is ********.
  15. Small sample size + taking MILB numbers into account when Ells is already putting up MLB numbers = Strike Three called and back to the dugout for you. Ellsbury IS that much better. Lol @ 160 innings sample size.....that ain't small, it's minuscule.
  16. Similar OBP i'll give you that. But if you factor in the fact that you stated yourself that Ells has the better batting eye and more power. Plus, he covers more ground an is the better basestealer. Would you not qualify that as being "much better"?
  17. Comedy.f***ing.Gold. http://www.weei.com/pages/2833086.php?
  18. Then try comparing "in his prime" Johnny Damon to Coco Crisp, and you'll find it that they are very different players. And Ellsbury is, in fact, a much better player,so that's what it should sound like.
  19. Because the fact is, every single good thing about the Red Sox said by ANYONE no matter how biased or objective they may be, needs to be debated through a long and boring process of douchebagerie and misinterpretation by jacko until he is either proven wrong or loses all credibility through the sheer amount of subject manipulation. But in this case, i think he's just kinda scared of what Smoltz might bring to this team.
  20. Jacko, seriously, stop smoking crack. Comparing Ellsbury to Gardner? KK DOOD U JUS GAVE ME A SRIOUS ATK OF DA LOLZ.
  21. It's no use, he and diony are jerk-offs, guess i have no choice but to change my screen name or something.
  22. Deported from where, genius? I live in D.R, not USA, i've said it like 1,000 times. I do apologize for the Jacko comparison. However, you are very biased, and you misunderstood my statement and turned it around for the pleasure of your interpretation. So keep mowing my lawn and STFU.
  23. diony takes the bias-glasses off, makes a decent post, and earns plenty of rep and respect along the way. http://thehealthblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/cookie.jpg Here, have a cookie.
