And off the record, i never said he wasn't "overmatched", i defended his approach at the plate, because i've been following the couple of ABs he's had, and he's been swinging at strikes and has taken a couple walks, so is that not a sound approach, even if the results aren't there? I'd LOVE to comb through the whole Teixeira thread......but i won't. Here's a bit for you: Player A: 20 ABs, 2 hits, 0 walks, 0 HBP, 0 XBH, 2.2 PPA, 10 Ks. Player B: 20 ABs, 2 hits, 4 walks, 0 HBP, 3.8 PPA, 7 KS. Even though both players were "overmatched" by their pitching counterparts, who handled themselves in a more productive manner? Is there not a difference in the numbers? If you say no, then take your major in FAIL with you and stop creating useless arguments.

I hate Derek Jeter as much (maybe more) than the next Red Sox fan, but you have to respect his poise and maturity at the media shitstorm A-Donna's comments caused, if it were me, what Keeper pointed out would have been my exact response, but since it's Jeter, he simply has nothing to say, earning mad respect and justification for the man-crushes Yankee fans have on him. So, as much as it hurts me to say it, mad props to the Yankee captain.

I agree wholeheartedly, since a lot of the defensive "deficiencies" a lot of people (including myself) claim A-Rod has at 3B, upong closer inspection are found to be the cause of him fielding balls that he would have no bussiness getting to if Jeter played adequate D.

Every rule has its exception, but after reading reports on Kalish and Reddick, i stopped taking their reports seriously, but that's just me, specially considering there're so many sources to find scouting reports on minor league players.

Anyways, i stand by my statement. All i was trying to prove is that maybe he's a bit overmatched because of the jump in quality and control in pitcher stuff, which is completely understandable for a 21-year-old playing in ST, and not by his hitting approach which seems to be pretty advanced and polished. Yeah, i read scouting reports, my genius friend. I was asking because if someone saw him live, he might be able to give a more up-front opinion on his repertoire. Besides, soxprospects.com, seriously? They might usually be right, but they're a little biased for my taste, then again, that's what you're all about.
