  1. Gom and Jacko are so full of FAIL it's amazing.
  2. In situations like this, all we can do is keep our heads high and understand that life is borrowed time, and we must accept when that borrowed time, for us or the ones we love, ends, it's a difficult task, but it's something we must do, however, never lose hope, my dad, for instance, is a raging diabetic who "wasn't gonna go long past 40", he is now 53 years old, and although he still suffers the blasts from the disease from time to time, he's living proof that a lot of faith and optimism a lot of times go a long way towards helping a person's survival. Science isn't everything. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family through these difficult times.
  3. Pitchers aren't gonna be as aggresive with him lower in the order. So he can afford to change hs mindset and not auto-swing when he's ahead in the count.
  4. And i'm the son of David Ortiz' brothers' cousins' stepson's grammar teacher. So i'm famous too!
  5. That's why i picked him now and probably gave about half of the league fits again like with the Verlander pick, lol.
  6. Are you serious? Rickie Weeks is injury-prone, defensively suspect and 10 HRs is power potential? Orlando Hudson is better defensively than Weeks will ever be, besides having a premier contact rate and good speed on the basepaths. You could even make a case than while injury-prone as well, Kendrick is a better overall package than Weeks as well. Guess why? Because Weeks SUCKS. I'm honestly beginning to assume you think i have the best team on this league, since you keep criticizing my picks.
  7. Ryan Madson,RP
  8. Jose Offerman. His call to fame was kicking a pitcher's ass.
  9. You two might be taking this a bit too far.......
  10. Nope, but it has cheap Air Jordans made in China!
  11. ^ Sometimes the obvious is just not so obvious, huh?
  12. Thank you. Apparently i'm not the only one who thinks so.
  13. I won't go nuts. The fact is, it gets done. Hell, i recall a game in September 2004 (i'll look it up for your vewing pleasure) where, if i remember correctly, the Cubbies intentionally walked Larry Walker with men on 2nd,3rd and 1 out with a righty on the mound, and Pujols GIDP. Again, walking a guy to set up the double play in certain situations is common practice, maybe the hitter hasn't fared well against a particular pitcher, maybe he's slumping. And remember, in 2004, Pujols had Edmonds and Rolen behind in the middle of their best seasons, making the decision much easier, i'll ease up and say doing it now is just plain stupid, but when they had the big Three in their game it was justifiable.
  14. Are you serious? Did you start watching baseball, like, yesterday? Setting up the double play is common practice among managers no matter who's at the plate next. The only hitter i won't say this happened to was Bonds during his San Francisco days, but i've seen it happen to Pujols, Howard, Chpper, and basically every big name hitter with a groundout pitcher on the mound and in a game-ends-on-a-sac-fly situation with runners on 2nd and 3rd. Gom, ORS is 35, and the irony in the fact that you're older than him is truly delightful.
  15. I've seen people intentionally walked in front of Pujols if there're runners on 2nd and 3rd, one out. And btw, Cleveland is full of FAIL.
  16. Jesus Christ, bases loaded, nobody out, a nobody named Aquino on the mound.......and the Yankees fail to score a run with A-Rod, Posada and Cano at the plate LOL!
  17. Martinez ties it up with a monster shot.
  18. Well someone has to drive me around, right?
  19. Empty the f***ing bank and go for both!
  20. Lugo and Green make him look like an iron wall.......
  21. I'm more concerned about HR/9, and they're both primed for a massive drop.
