  1. D-Ped on base already.
  2. He's hitting 4th in the Texas lineup in a regular basis right now actually.
  3. Actually, i'm gonna draft a CF since i already moved Hawpe to DH. But this is the actual lineup i'm envisioning. 1. TBD 2. O-Dog 3. R-Zimm 4.Gonzo 5.Ludwick 6.Hawpe 7.Cruz 8.Mcann 9.Bartlett
  4. I might need to stretch out before i say this. But i think i've constructed one hell of a lineup if Cruz is hitting 7th on my team.
  5. Average range, but a f***ing cannon for an arm. I remember hearing from a kid who used to play ball with him while in a tryout for the Padres, he used to get the slower guys out at first from right field when he played shallow.
  6. He can hit the cover off the ball anywhere, and hell, he can even steal a base!
  7. Took Nelson Cruz. He's always been an offensive beast in the minors and in DWL. He's not the most adept at working the count, but he has loads of power, and good range and a cannon for an arm in RF. A consistent .280/20/80 line from Cruz is not impossible, even f he were to play away from the Bandbox in Texas.
  8. Nelson Cruz, OF
  9. They were hot. They were hot. They also didn't have a $200 million payroll.
  10. I don't think you know yet, but the only player sucking worse than Papi this year is Wang.
  11. Murphy is questionable, but Steweart has a ton of potential.
  12. My point is. Had they had real good pitching, when/if they got beat in the playoffs, then you could've said: "I mean, look, they had outstanding pitching and a solid offense, they only lost because post-season is a crapshoot." The argument doesn't hold as much water when a team is visibly flawed.
  13. But the innings was the issue at hand. So indeed, that's all i care about. Viewing it from the innings perspective, it's obviously not only possible, but quite easily achieved as well.
  14. We'd be singing a dfferent tune if the Yankee FO had managed to assemble a team without such visible pitching holes for the last 6 years.
  15. Ok, so you think no pitcher in the Yankee rotation will get injured or will get shelled early game for the remainder of the season? Because the point of the conversation which you came to abruptly interrupt while obviously not reading the start of the debate was wether or not Hughes would be able to pitch 150 innings from the bullpen and spot-starting. But i forgot the Yankee rotation is perfect, so none of their starters will get injured, need a day off, or get their ass kicked for the remainder of the season.
  16. That you can't blame FO for the Yankees not winning a WS the last 8 years. The playoffs are a crapshoot, and continued success in them is not sustainable. However, spending the amount of money they spend you'd think they get one in 7 tries.
  17. Props to the Yankee FO for making the right decision.
