  1. I mentioned the TOP 3 FREE AGENTS right beforehand. He got a 100 million dollar contract. Or am i making that up. Also,regarding the Sox's 2007, i'm gonna pull out this little gem which you said earlier.
  2. It figures. The roided out Sox, only they used 'roids amirite? It wasn't league wide. Also, again, in 2007, the Cubs also spent 200 million bucks. They didn't triple the money output of the closest spender or signed the top 3 FA's on that year's market. (Who has ever done that anyway?) Alfonso Soriano, Carlos Lee,anyone? *Yawn.*
  3. Yet i'm the one who never relies on facts when making my posts. Pure, unadulterated genius right here.
  4. So they cost more than a mid-market team? Wow.
  5. Gom doesn't consider any of these posts "Well written". Oh well, i shall rescind my TalkSox membership and go hide in a corner. There is nothing left for me to live for.
  6. Says the guy who answers 95% of the time in one-liners.
  7. I love how you picked that up.
  8. Yankees advantage over Red Sox>>>>>>>>>>Sox advantage over rest of the league. Yankees advantage over rest of the league>>>>>>>>>>> Everything. How about looking at it that way?
  9. I didn't know 26 to 7 was part of the Yankees FO. So Cashman didn't really "want" Santana? That is downright hilarious.
  10. Thanks Bosox. That is more than the payroll of a couple of MLB teams. Happy?
  11. That is the key to the entire argument.
  12. About the Red Sox and "buying" the 2007 championship, did you know that the Cubs spent over 200 million dollars in FA's as well? And that other teams (Houston, Dodgers) spent well more than 100 million too? Chicago Cubs Mark DeRosa IF Rangers Cubs Signed to a 3-year $13M deal Ted Lilly LHP Blue Jays Cubs Signed for 4 years, $40M Jason Marquis RHP Cardinals Cubs Signed for 3 years, $21M Alfonso Soriano OF Nationals Cubs Signed for 8 years, $136M The difference in FA spending between the Sox and the Cubs was less than 40 million dollars. What was the difference between the Yanks and the closest FA spender?
  13. *sigh* The fact that the farm probably won't churn out a couple quality players next year doesn't mean the farm has been "drained". This is what "make your bed, then lie in it" means.
  14. :lol::lol::lol:
  15. Question: The reason we say the championship is "bought" is because without the big 3 you don't win the WS. This has already been admitted. So why are you looking for escape routes to what has already been proved? Honest question.
  16. Glad to see my favorite taxi driver stealing a page from my book.
